    LONG RANGE TV DOGFIGHT[chopper]

ppl are asking me, yo Gun-It, how come ur missiles fly so far, how come ur missile fly so fast that even if i fired first, urs always hit me before mine can reach urs. well theres the thing. first, we all know that the shortest distance between 2 point, is the straight line. we can use the line to describ the trajectory of the missile. if u click a lot, make lots of corrections, clikc very fast, ur missile will always be flying left right, up down, so it would go as far, and as fast cuz its not like a straight line, its zigzaging. so remember, the best way to fight long range tv dogfights, is to spot the chopper first, as soon as u see him, fire ur tv missile, and do not correct it, just keep it in view, this way it will fly in a straight line. then when it gets close to it, thats when u starts to bust the mouse botton with ur fingers, make all the correction neccessary to hit the target.

second point is timing, actually, it is the most important part, the one that spots the other chopper wins 90% of the time.so wat u would most likely to do in that situation is:

1-if his far away, go in the opposite direction so that his missiles cant reach u.( becarefull, his gota be really really far away)

2-if hes close, try to keep barrelrolling if u can till he fires his missile, then fire urs.

now, if u see him first, u can also start by trying to make him shoot his tv first. but ur taking chances because if the other guy is a good gunner, he might hit u. ( check his rank first lol)

What other way can i make him shoot his tv missile first?

well,if his far away, u can try to make have ur pilot fire a SINGLE rocket to the ground making it look like that u have fired it. this will not work 100% of the time because if u play the game long enough, u would know the difference between a rocekt and a missile.

hope u guys find it useful.

sorry, mods plz move to tips and tricks, dont know how it got here hehehe...sorry again.

heres a tip, if ur flying the chopper..........the easiest way to dodge the enemy is by doing this..

..dont stay still, make sure ur sliding in one direction all the time and when u see his missile coming slide in oposite direction and start rolling, hold A or D, it will make you roll really fast, if ur familiar with how far the TV missile can go then u can also back up after ur gunner fires and also u gotta know the TV missile reload times, I had a pilot asking me if Im ready to fire, the pilot is supposed to know when the missile is ready, it doesnt take too long for it to reload

but if u mastered the fast roll thing and u trust ur gunner........start rolling as soon as posible and line up ur gunner while rolling, he'll fire if he knows what hes doing

oy yea, you can roll really fast but I wanna try something else while doing this

lets say ur rolling to the left and his missile is on its way to u, I wanna swich from rolling to sliding as fast as I can but I wanna try to do it while his missile is really close to me, i think this would work perfectly, i still have to try it

i admit didnt reaqd the whole thing but, did you say that its important for the pilot to lead the target slightly to make the line that much straighter?

another good little trick is you can hide your tv missile in with your pilots rockets

this way the opposition helo pilot thinks all he has to do is slide gently to one side and boom your tv 'jumps' out of the pack and nails him

              SOLO

              You see the heli first:

              - Fire and guide... if you hit, congrats... if you miss, begin a barrel roll immediately upon returning to the pilot seat, strafe horizontally and barrel roll until his missile passes. Repeat.

You see the heli after it has noticed you:

              - Strafe horizontally and barrel roll until the missile passe. Afterwards, fire and guide... if you hit, congrats... if you miss, begin a barrel roll immediately upon returning to the pilot seat. Repeat.

              2-man team

He sees you first? Evasive maneuvers while keeping your gunner lined up to take a shot.

You see him first? Give your gunner a shot while remaining far and away from his sight.

Of course, you can also play the distance game... get in range, shoot, get out of range before his missile can reach you... etc.

Run away? No, it's called being smart: I get in range to shoot, move backwards to avoid his shot while keeping him in sight and taking another shot when appropriate... repeating the pattern as necessary. Only a fool would remain in range when the option to move away is available.

ya, i basicly said that. I said to fire only 1 rocket so it seems like an tv missile. but thanks though.

very important point here by sloi, dog fight between good solo pilots are often missiles taht blow up half way. it continues for a while and then some one catches the time that u back away to advance on ya and fire one that u didnt expect.

Whenever I use T missiles against moving targets, I have to hit wherever the enemy was quite a good period of time beforehand. As in, if I go a full choppers length behind the chopper, I will still hit it, and if i ever actually HIT the chopper, my missile simply goes right through it.

Thats the problem I must be having. I can't hit **** in the air but I can destroy anything on the ground. My missiles keep going "through" the enemy helis. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks DICE.

I find barrel rolls mean even the best TV missile whores miss me most of the time. I've tried hitting barrel rolling choppers as well and it's very hard to hit, it's hard to predict exactly where the roll will end.

thats cuz those chopper whores arent good whores, their like 50 bucks a night. the problem with hitting rolling chopper is once the tv gets really close the the chopper, the chopper will disapear from the screen very fast, wat u have to do is click very fast and drag lil by lil towards the direction of where the chopper is going, in the way that ur missile is leading the target 1 step ahead. i strongly suggest u see how Pubstar corrects his missiles, i learned from his videos, go on google video and search for pub all star, or pub allstar, its the first oen i think. he hits eevrything, rolling or not.
