I just went and subscribed to the IGN Founders Club so i can register for the next batch of Cd-keys. Also i'll be able to get fast download of patch 1.4 when released.

Yeah, I don't understand the lack of wide screen support. That's getting to be a major selling point now as SLI comes down in price along with affordable 19-20" wide screen displays. And in a game like BF, that extra perephrial(sp?) vision would be quite nice.

I thought I saw some E3 gameplay videos in widescreen mode... perhaps only in pre-alpha version?

I guess the lack of widescreen support in BF2 is meant to be fair for non-widescreen users... But one year later now, widescreen is a lot cheaper and more people have them, it doesn't really make sense to not support it in BF2142.

Gamers who spend extra money on widescreen monitors should be able to enjoy what they pay for (Hor+ view), just like gamers with better graphic cards.

Im not really surprised the severs are still crashing (if they are), it's a real shame EA can't get themselves together and make a really good game with support. That being said it's still in the early stages (right?) and things can only get better! :)

When is the demo out? and will the be singleplayer? or will it be a multiplayer demo where you can only play 1 map?

I play on a 24" widescreen and to tell you the truth it really doesn't bother me with the format. Once you have a screen that big in front of your face nothing else matters.

I'm testing it. Just like i would naturally try out the demo. I won't BUY it though So i wouldn't say i was going against the sig. Oh yeah and the fileplanet subscription wasn't just for 2142 beta. It's for the fast access to the download servers!

DICE responded somewhere on these forums stating that it was very unlikely.

Put your money elsewhere folks.

Try the beta, get a feel for the game, but don't buy it.
