Question about 1.4 patch and Official Comunicate

I have two questions that i want to give you..

First: If the servers crash why they haven't released a server-side patch? A micro patch (like Microsoft do with Windows) in order to repair this HUGE problem? (Only this at the begin and after the work on the 1.4)

Second: Why did they put the news about bf2142 on the BF2 news page?

1.) Because they didn't...the cause of the CTD errors wasn't found until it was too late to be called a hotfix
2.) Because they did...think publicity.

1) I don't talk about the crash to desktop .. i talk about connection problem..

For Connection Problems TRY THIS:
Start the game, go to Options, Audio, and change from Software to Hardware.And you shouldn`t have as many connection problems. Let me know if it worked or not ...

Ok i'm italian so my english is baaaad ..

Uhm I'm talking about the server that crashes :P
It's a problem in the server's module because I've recognized this:

If in a server will join 2-3 or more ppl togheter the server would definitively crash at 99%.
If you join in a server already full (with a free slot) there is a minor probability that the server crashes..

2 are the cases:
- Auto balance don't work
- Troubles with the management of 2 or more connections

I've noticed this too:
When a player joins for few seconds there will be 2 players with the same name.. I'll explain.

1) Server A is (22/24).
2) Player B joins .. (server now is 23/24).
3) When player C joins the server duplicates B and then updates the data with C informations so:

1) (players...)
2) (players...B)
3a) (players...B,B)
3b) (players...B,C)

This could be a problem if B disconnect during the cloning or if C's data can't be get soon.

Sorry again .. again and again ..

PS: It's true also that today I've joined into an empty server and it crashed

They have completed the 1.4 patch already, it should be released on Tuesday the 22nd. Everyone has already gone through just about everything you are describing. The whole range of emotions, anger, joy, rage, guilt, sadness, embarassment, etc.

Because the sites are all connected and run by teh same organization. It's called cross advertising. Many people that play BF2 will be playing 2142, so discussion about it is welcome and interesting. Aside from this, there really does not have to be a reason.

They realesed bf2142 so by the time they release 1.4 the attention will be on the demo.
