Your only chance to really find out is to email punkbuster as previously suggested. One thing to note though is that Punkbuster does NOT just randomly ban accounts for the fun of it. There is no lottery system where a lucky victim is picked every day.
Something must have been found on your system for this to have happened in the 1st place. That code 17 by the way is not a code, it's your player number in the serer. You were the 17th one to join.
And yes, the Transformers Movie will kick much tale!!!

Right thax for the info and yes i emailed the judas's at evenbal. but there still things a mist to me if you get banned for using aimbot pb give a # like
[866756] mine has no # tieing to anything just banned. And i have read few peeps got guid banned only have have it remove because it was a mistake. Most the info i speak of i looked up all day on the net with google

And yes ill be one of the geeks in line to see prime whip some ***!! One shall stand and one shall fall !

PB has it problems, dont give in and buy another one.

I can promise you this i will not buy this game again i have DONE NOTHING WRONG !

global ban means you are banned from ALL servers not just yours.

Yea thax shadow i chose B frist time was the frist sever i was banned on it was random server i just picked and boom i was banned before i could hit join.

So i waited thougth o hell another bf2 screw up join another server and boom so then i tryed mine and got the same results so i've been lookin all day on the net for help. And evenbal has given me no answer as to why the bann.

But one question would that not cover all games with PB i still play cod2 and aa no problem so why not bf2 ?

It's a CD key ban, not a hardware ban.

You are only banned from bf2, because your cd key is totally different in other pb enabled games.

Ok well that help sry but i have no idea about how pbworks or cd keys i have no computer skills really very upset and pissed about this to be honest to say the least i have put in a ticket with evenbal and posted on it 4 times alrdy but with no answer from them.

Maybe someone else got your cd key and use it to hack and got banned. And maybe this is why you are not hardware banned from other games.

That's what happened to me. I played without my firewall enabled for a while; one week later, I was CD key banned.

Good luck with contacting Evenbalance. They take a while to respond initially...I couldn't get anything out of them before other than 'we don't have the power to remove you from our banlist'...what ********. I hope you get more success.

I was banned last year shortly after 1.2 I think came out.No reason given just logged in one day and was Guid banned.I E-mailed EB several times and never had a response.After about a month or so I ended up buying a new copy of the game.You don't lose your stats or anything, anyhow everything was fine and I could play again. Not long after I gave a buddy the CD that was guid banned so he could try single player,see if he liked it and then buy it or whatever.

After he installed it he tried joining a server and was in np.He has been playing that disc on PB servers ever since without an issue.

PB is a screwy thing, and EB doesn't seem to keen on listening to people who think they have been falsely banned. Either they remove bans after a period of time or they screwed up in my situation and unbanned my key. Either way It's a real pain to deal with if you haven't cheated.

I think this is why he dont have a hardware ban and can play other pb games.
Paying again for the game for some a hole that stole your key is not good. PB should protect EA customers from this and not punish them.

Punkbuster sucks sometimes, their support is horrible. Not even responding to people who have been banned because someone else did something and they didn't have anything to do with it.

They don't listen to those people, and Ghostrun's friend was able to play on his computer with that CDKey even though it was still banned!
