    IO in Special Forces

I think this will be a great idea. The way it should have been anyway. I have no problem with armour especially as you cant use armour to cap all the flags :)

Im looking forward to playing Ghost town without getting raped by choppers and armour. No armour spawn raping either if your having a bad game and no base raping for vehicles either.

The night maps might be a bit of a pain with the distance to travel but if they have increased the run distance then it will even out. Also how many people play the night maps anyway??

In Warlord who is going to mis being gunned out of the air when parachuting in or the inevitable armour rape of the palace when its the only flag left or the tv station?? It will make it more of a chalange as its easier to break out when your only facing infantry and not armour as well.

IMHO is a good thing and will encourage a few more to play SF

I agree, there is already another thread this exact issue.

    Infantry only will help SF

Iron gator is the only map IO doesn't really work with.

16 player map is fine but 32 and 64 tends to be horrible docking bay camp fest.

Well for Iron Gator the AT kit will still be there to blow up the boats. There will be no choppers or APCs to carry them aboard. Like I said before if anyone was actually interested in IO they'd already be playing SF because it's the closest to it. Thinking it will attract new SF players is just wishful thinking. Ghost Town you don't get raped by choppers/armor. Choppers usually miss me when I'm on the roof and tanks arean't an issue because when raping they are sitting ducks for AT and spec ops.

On the issue of parachuting. You don't need pickup trucks to kill people when they are parachuting. I've shot many of them with Assault rifles and LMGs. I'm not looking forward to IO in SF because SF is already well balanced in terms of vehicles and infantry areas. Plus more ways then any version to take vehicles out. All it's gonna do is encourage playing medic. And all the kit balance in squads to be gone.

I've said this before in another post but since this thread is going I'll reiterate my op. SF would benefit not from IO, but from light vehicles like the Technicals and Raiders throw in transport choppers because that is one way for an elite fighting force to be deployed. Take out the armor (APC, and Tanks) and the attack choppers; and I think you would still end up with a very well balanced face paced game that would play more like what a “Special Forces” should play like.
