Online problems

Ok so my BF2 runs fine if i play singleplayer, even with settinsg all the way up..but when i get online..i have horrible lag and slowdown...i dont even have to move and i will just freez for a few seconds..didnt think it would effect me too much...but every second counts as we all know in BF2..any idea out there..do you think its my network provider..is it ea...i just cant fix it..i will freez every 15-60 seconds..i dont know why..its never done this until i moved...but i play other games online like dc or fear sometimes...none of these games freeze.. ..HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pent D dual core proc/3ghz/2 gig ram/ ATI radeaon x600/ windxp

anything else running in the background ie antivirus/antispyware?

Could be sevreal things.

-Do you have this problem with other online games?
-Are you experiecing probelms with your Internet Service Provider?
-Is your videcard or processor overheating?
-Spyware or Virus infected?

im sorta a noob with computers..so how can i tell if the processoer or video card over heating...and no i have no other problems with other online games..and i have tried turning all spyware and anitvirus software off...if its my service provider..i guess i should talk with them..ist so weird b/c everythings else rusn fine...but bf2 runs like crap...its use to run grt...so tell me wut i should do next if u have an idea..and thnx for the responses so far...

do you use a wireless network ?

if so get a network cable

no..but i did upgrade my speed with my provider..if that has anyting to do with it...how come BF2 is the only things affected..why do my other games run fine when playing online...
