Why does it take 2 months for a expansion pack, but 3-4-5 months for
patches that fix bugs ?

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... interesting, no ?

perhaps they should STOP working on exp, packs and START working
on fixing the bugs that have been in this game for over a year now..

They did an open beta with 2 rounds of testing.
3 weeks is a SHORT test cycle.
That gives you 6 weeks minimum JUST for the testing (realisticly it's closer to 8). So there you have 2 months just for testing without even thinking about itterations of implementaional development (ie, writing new code and trying it out over and over and over before even allowing it to be called "testable").

Meanwhile, when you're creating new content you can do it parallel to the current design. 90% of an expantion is the creation of new art. Art is much more simple to produce than to hunt down and eliminate bugs. Meanwhile. work on bug fixes and such can be happening at the same time by other people.

People complain when a patch comes out and they all yell, "WHY has NO ONE bothered to test this?". So they do the opposite and the same thing happens. This topic has been beat to death. Search the forums for the other posts exactly like this asking the same question.
