My stance is that instead of focusing on making an official stat padding mode, they could have focused on bug fixes and force balance. Hell, they could have made new gamemodes! Supply Lines would sound extra-good right now!

Completely agree, IO mode is about the most mindless skilless point whorefest mode this game could possibly deliver.

It shows a complete lack of imagination in the development of the game. CS with BF2 skins, no thanks.

In fact I'm more of an infantry player than I've ever been because in the past few months for every hour I've spent in a plane I've spent another 50 on the ground.

Obsessed purely for comparitive purposes and as a means to benchmark my own performance so I can continue to improve. That and of course they make great ammunition whenever someone tries to question my ability and wouldn't you know it my infantry statistics serve the same purpose. Difference between me and an IO stat padder (besides the presence of testicles) is I don't need handicaps like IO mode or Knife and Pistol servers to have a badass set of statistics. Face it every single player who plays 24/7 Karkand (USMC side) and has 60% of their kills/played time on the grenade will be playing IO mode. If that doesn't clearly indicate the stat paddish nature of the mode then I don't know what will. And you can bet your sweet a$$ you'll see Volx playing nothing but IO too.

Have fun in carebear land wimps. Or is that stat padder heaven? Or easy mode? All of the above I'd say. If you spend more than 5% of your total play time in IO I'd be willing to bet you're one lame duck. If you spend all of your time in IO I'd recommend you never buy and taint the Battlefield series again. Plenty of other games out there to cater to your wimpy tastes, so by all means... go away.

I'll continue to get my kicks with the rest of the sane non-stat obsessed players in REAL Battlefield 2. That might mean I may encounter a tank APC or helicopter every once in a while but unlike the rest of the pansies in this thread I look forward to these types of challenging encounters that require teamwork

I think using tanks on Kark is the REAL point whorefest. Kark with IO would be fantastic. As well as other city maps.

Boohoo!) you might as well back yourself up and post your real BF2 nickname. I actually did find a Frazzman (I doubt two people would pick such a stupid name) but his global score isn't even high enough to register on BF2S. Do you even PLAY this game Frazzman? Fact is I never had a problem with IO mode but rather the way DICE implemented it. The settings in IO is pure retardation (making all but 2 of the classes worthless) and more to the point making it ranked is a slap in the face to all of the REAL competitive infantry players who have worked hard to build up good ranking statistics only now to have them trumped with ease by the upcoming "easy mode" players. If DICE made IO unranked my major reservations about the mode would go away... mostly because nobody would play it and thus it wouldn't effect the other servers. Mark my words IO mode will rip apart this community and divide up the different types of players resulting in lopsided servers.

To boil it down for your puny intellect the end result of IO mode will be a weakened community and unbalanced servers. With the infantry centric stat padders (who may or may not be skilled) on one side and a higher portion of vehicle centric players on the other side (resulting in more people on a particular map idling at vehicle spawn points and doing nothing). Wait and see because I know the signs of this imbalance will begin to manifest itself soon after 1.4 is released. After the inital surge the total number of servers will begin to steadily drop. Just wait and see.

Tanks reap the benefits created by stupid and dumb players. If you cant spawn at another flag than Hotel, you deserve to be raped. Its that simple.

Blaming your deaths on a tank, just because you cant take tanks out with a sniper kit (which you refuse to change), is utmost stupid.

Simple choices-

Spec Ops kit- speedy jihad
AT kit, next flag- a few steps and you can take shots at armor

I dont see how people think armor "ruins the game" if theres so much you can use to counter armor?

If you mean "Will i play Counter-Strike:Source" then yes I do and will play it occasionally. I got BF2 for the whole spectrum of war unlike some smurfs who couldn't kill a tank with a nuke.

Am I the only one beginning to think Frazzman doesn't play Battlefield 2? If you do... listen Frazzy.. you have nothing to be ashamed about but your concealment makes me wonder what could I possibly discover in your statistics that's so damaging or embarrasing?

Perhaps I could link your name up to a person who is well known for using glitches like the Karkand Hotel glitch ingame?

Perhaps you have thousands of teamkills because you're a griefing loser?

If you play for fun then why do you care so much about keeping your identity a secret?

You don't have that chance to spawn at another flag all the time, you do have to start from the base. For the first few minutes I try to take the Hotel or the next flag, during that time all the tankwhores rush to the hotel from their bases so on the next spawn I try to go to the other side to get some flags when all the tankwhores are whoring up the points at the hotel. If I'm lucky, a few other guys come with me, (sadly enough, people keep spawing at the base even thought there's a flag on the other side of the map, but that's the nature of Kark now)

Going AT alone NEVER works, when there are tanks with supplie boxes around them and all the tanks are engineers, there is no chance in hell you will take those tanks out, even if there were two AT guys.

Tanks on Kark are the ultimate pointwhoring methods. USA side on one side of the hotel MEC side on the other side of the hotel, neither of the tanks try to fight against one another, they are just spawn raping.
