All DICE did was legalize stat padding, its as simple as it gets.

Such a load of rubbish, we all know the easiest way to get insanely good KD ratios and impossibly high scores is in a helicopter/jet or tank.

Whatever. A vehicle is a force multiplier, and through that, a score multiplier.

Having said that, I support the idea of reduced points in vehicles.

Just as I said, always, always someone talks about score when these kind of coversations appear. This is nothing but point-jealousy and score-hunger.

Stat-padding is JUST the appropriate word here.

Whats weak about it? I just brought you a prime example of how DICE screwed up, and not the players. Yet youre calling the players "exploiting whores". If youre a pilot, and youre on PLA side, should a player skip the J10, just so YOU, frazzman could feel better about YOURSELF? Hell no.

Here's the deal.....
Non-Infantry Only: I spawn at Hotel and get spawnraped by 2 tanks and an apc.
Infantry Only: I spawn at Hotel and get spawnraped by a PKM-er. I turn around and shoot him, then go on to kill a few more people in an almost fair 1-1 infantry mode.

Its not my loss. J10 is a problem for F35B pilots, and not infantry. Jets in general are a problem for infantry. I dont even understand why you are using J10 as an example?

This wouldnt be an issue if the J10 capabilities are the only ones that can be used, at all. The only thing one can do, is fly level as soon as they are being locked on to make it a "fair game". But comeon... lets be serious here.

An example for you- what if M16 shot 6 bullets instead of 3 in a burst, and go auto in single shot mode. Would you only use a pistol while being USMC? Just to be fair? I think not. Youre just going to be in either a group of people who enjoy this bug, or in a group of people who dont.

My stance is that instead of focusing on making an official stat padding mode, they could have focused on bug fixes and force balance. Hell, they could have made new gamemodes! Supply Lines would sound extra-good right now!

Then we will just have to agree that we disagree, simple as that and i wont see you on IOMode servers, since you think its such a stat padding travesty. Thats fine by me, i will play it AND enjoy it as i do with Vbf2 so will many others.

Indeed. But Ive also said that I will play IO mode only, because I believe that smart server providors will make full map rotations with 16 player maps and 64 player limits, which will offer a total chaos as a gameplay, and I would be interested in seeing that.

Ive played in 16 player maps with 64 players before, granted, with vehicles, but it was still mostly man-vs-man, and it was fun. Because it was different.

somehow i always end up waiting for tanks to respawn and 2 secs before it does soem guys comes and stands right next to me and BAM

Wow that's a lot of time wasted looking in one direction and picking your nose ... haven't you heard the possibility that if there is no tank you go and do something else. Or is it that you can just help yourself and with IO you will have no choice? I wonder if during the first IO games we'll see a guy standing where the tank used to spawn?

If you spend all of your time in IO I'd recommend you never buy and taint the Battlefield series again. Plenty of other games out there to cater to your wimpy tastes, so by all means... go away.

I'll continue to get my kicks with the rest of the sane non-stat obsessed players in REAL Battlefield 2. That might mean I may encounter a tank APC or helicopter every once in a while but unlike the rest of the pansies in this thread I look forward to these types of challenging encounters that require teamwork.
