Extremely High Ping!

Hi, I entered the game today, as always typed "150" in the ping filter, and got only 5 servers with 0 ping. I randomally joined one, and had 300-500 ping.

Then I disabled the ping filter, and the server with the lowest ping had like 350.

I live in Israel, we have only one server here and it doesn't work 24/7.
So most of times I don't get to join servers with less than 100 ping, but that's ok, 80-130 ping isn't that terrible.


Can it be due to changing the Localization files?
I downloaded Salad's files, and had those pings. I didn't play before downloading them, so I can't tell you if this is what affected it.
But the pings haven't went down after replacing the local files with the original ones, so I guess the problem isn't here.

First of all, why do you type anything in the Ping filter at all?
Moving on, the game itself has no effect on your ping. Your modem is about to kick the bucket or something is happening on your ISP's end, give them a call and ask. If you have a wireless set up with wireless router etc, that could be it as well. Post your computer specs including the modem.

Why not? Why do I need server with more than 150 ping? :)

Yeah Ive contacted my fuc*ing stupid good-for-nothing ISP, they just told me to give some IP's of servers with high ping, and said everything is OK at their place, and call the main phone services system. They laughed at my ISP sending me to them.
In short, the problem is either mine or my ISP. I guess it's their problem, i'm kinda their only client, it seems like there is only one man managing the company, sitting in his chair waiting for phone calls.

I will just pick another ISP, this one is so lame.
