Re: Tutorials for 3DS MAX 8
use gmax tutorials, 3ds max and gmax have alot of similarities but if you want one on one help just ask me ill be more then happy to help
I use the same modeling style as the guy that made the beretta tutorial basically
Plains, shape it, then add a symetry modifier.
Tips
the M is a quick button to the material editor
X changes the look of the move tool make sure you have the right one (this was my first thing to screw up)
Alt + middle mouse button down = Rotates screen
Middle mouse button= moves the screen around so you have a better view
remeber to basically always move your screen in the perspective viewport not the others and if you happen to move the others put them back so you don't accidently mess up placing a new object
ya basically if you have no knowledge what so ever use gmax tutorials there are a few more out there because the program is free.
here this site has a few
An Archive of User Made Maps & map screenshots for the Halo Custom Edition, Halo 2 Vista PC and Portal 1 games.
just search there are like 10 3ds max and like 5 gmaxComment
