error with installing patch 1.3

i just installed battelfield, and i went to patch it with 1.3 but i recieve some kinda error it asks if i would like ignore or close to terminate the problem either way it shuts down the installation this is what it says the system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows application. can anyone please tell me if i should just redownload it from ea because i got it from fileplanet. if posssible inform me of what i should do??>>>>.....
