Punkbuster Blocked OS Error

Everytime I log on to a server running PB I get kicked off with "You have been kicked via PunkBuster (For 0 Minutes)... RESTRICTION: BLOCKED O/S PRIVILEGES 4FC" error. I already did what evenbalance said I should do, and to clarify the common questions.

Yes I am running the Game with and Admin Account
No I am not running or have I ever ran Process Gaurd on my PC
Yes I patched BF2 to 1.3 and manually updated PB.
Yes I uninstalled and re-installed BF2.
Yes I created a new Admin account and manually uninstalled and re-installed BF2 with this new Admin Account.
Yes I deactivated and turn off my Anti-Vrus program prior to running the game
The only thing running on my PC is OS and BF2

My Specs are
AMD Athlon XP 1800+ 1.5
2 Gbs Ram
Win XP Pro Version 2002 SP2
ATI Raedon 9600 w/512 Mb Video Ram

I take it you have tried updating punkbuster in the slim hope that it may work?

i had this problem 2 times now and i know what your problem is. you may think im incorrect and u might already have this fixed but check on the punkbuster page FAQ. you have a certin type of spyware that dont allow you to play for some odd reason. if you dont have it fixed you can pm me an ill tell ya how im to too sure on posting links an progs here. but ill help u in private so pm me or unless someone tells me other wise. i cna help ya tell you what to do an what to get.

Sorry to go of topic but how do you check punkbuster is updating as it should do.I know PB should update itself but not a bad idea to check..

Download and run PB setup. It updates any games that have punkbuster.

Okay incase someone is reading this thread and is in my current situation, I found the fix to my problem. I did a search on my HDD and discovered that somehow something copied the Process Gaurd Driver (procguard.sys) in my Windows Driver folder, I deleted the file and then opened Regedit and searched for anything that had to do with Process gaurd and discover that apperently something had tried to install it so I deleted all keys referencing process guard. I reboot and then launched BF2 and I was able to play on PB servers without any problem.

If you want to search your HDD and/or Registry search using the following keywords

HDD:
PG*.*
procguard*.*
processg*.*

Registry search for:
process guard
processguard
procguard
pguard
pg

Hope this helps anyone that is suffering like I was.
