No need to whine about it here. Go to their forums as he stated. If I get banned and it is unjustified, then I go to the forums of whoever owns the server.

Was not able to find the server after doing a google search. Had little time so I posted.

It happens in other servers too, from my personal experience I was in a teamhaf server, I got booted because me and some other guy got into the bomber before a teamhaf member. He then proceeded to be a smacktard and stood in front of me I had no choice and I ran him over which give me the boot.

I just posted my issue so other can determine for themselves if they want to experience the same thing.

Our background:
I am an over 30 EX Marine. My Friends are also mostly EX Military gamers. There are a few members that never served, but they learn teamwork and the essentials for success from us or not.

Thats awesome I was 1/3 0341 and I know the issues of trying to run a server and all the pros and cons to having multiple admins outside your comfort zone. Some are good and some are bad and not necessarily refering to the incident at hand because maybe he was having a bad day. Anyways thanks for the responce. Ironically enough I had a website and several game servers and ran into similar issues when we decided to take on 7 additional admins. We created a code of conduct closely resembling the core values you and I were taught. Ultimatly it killed our CS game servers popularity and after that we focused on our website only google www.hawaiigamer.com. Now me to busy so had to shut the site down for awhile while we re-create it or sell the domain. Anyways Thank You.. Semper Fi

After reading responses by the last couple people (owner and an admin) who IMHO did a good job representing the server I'll be playing there (hell is loose) more often.

You get in the chopper as I'm flying, and after several flights out and several deaths in the same chopper config, I notice you can't hit the broad side of a barn. I recall commenting on this fact, in what was probably a less than cordial manner.

So we rearange and you're flying and I'm gunning, great. We get over the first hill on Kubra, heading out of US airfield - and I notice we're going a little low, then I see you jump out just before we smack into the side of the cliff. My assumption is you TK'd me because I got pissy about your supposed TV proficiency or lack there of. I alt-tab and the last thing I see you say as I'm counting down to spawn isn't "sorry" it's "haha", I kick you for team killing, then return to the game.

It may have been a misunderstanding, but in a world where every 5 minutes I see a TKer or griefer, tempers can run a bit short - it's a small price to pay that our server is one of, if not _the_ cleanest server in BF2 on which I've played - and not just in the evenings, we almost always have an admin online sacrificing their time to keep things that way.

Dude I've killed teammates before similiar to that, for hitting the wrong button , or just not paying attention... I also laughed, and the other person did to, or they just didn't comment... Instead of being a jerk, and kicking him you could have asked him what happened, or why did you do that....

don't be a jerk and just kick someone, further more what makes you think you can comment on how good he can fly, or shoot?? Are you so good that you can do it all better then everyone else...I think not, all your stats show you to be is a air whore.....

Glad to see the other admins on the server got you to get on here, and give a response...cause I know you didn't yourself..

What's up Loonsluv? Long time no see man - oh wait, that's not right - you don't know me beyond a single post, but obviously due to this thread I'm the biggest *** who's ever played BF2.

In fact, no other admins made me aware of this post - even the lead admin who saw fit to ban my account after 6 months admining without a complaint, and a year in HiL, said nothing to me about a person, reason or thread such as this, as justification. I had to hunt it down all by my lonesome.

So I come here to tell my story very calmly, I think, after what's just transpired, and I get attacked further not only for my actions, but for my character.

Yes, even I've accidently jumped out of a chopper before, but my point was the manner in which it happened lead me to believe it was intentional, that was my judgement call, I made it, it may have been wrong, but I came here to stick by it based on my experiences as an admin and people flipping over their choppers when they get a gunner they don't like.

Ahh, and I seen you've made an edit, and based on my stats I am now an "air whore". I love flying in this game, and as many people on our can attest, I almost always yield to someone else waiting for a vehicle, even if I don't know them. I don't know anyone else who does this - most people die and they run right back up and spam and push and what have you to get their vehicle again. I hop into the nearest AA and make sure the person waiting can take off without getting spawn raped. But yea, I'm a gigantic air whoring *******.

But I'm not an ex-Marine, so I must be wrong, eh guys?

Yeah admin sounds like a real tard. They don't deserve to have that power. Looks like you had a few run ins.

Probably about avg for 700hrs play time though.

After 320+ hrs I have never had any run ins with admins. I consider myself pretty lucky.

I for one will be staying clear of that server to try keep it that way.

You cant argue with GOD. The two times i've been baned is for sticking up for myself to a clan member. KOS and CN are about as bad as it gets and the idea of kissing butt to paly a game I've paied for somehow sticks in my crawl. But I hear ya.

Best thing to do is to make an effort to reason with the server admins. A lot of times the thrill of being an admin clouds the most common sense type of judgement, especially in the teeny-bopper audience. Not all of them are this way, but it is this way more often then not.
My way of thinking about servers that are run that way is very clear and to the point. If no one played on servers like those, they would surely not want to flip the monthly bill for them. I tend to stay on my home server and maybe once ina long while, I'll go pubbing around and check out the teamwork/competition of other players on different servers. In a nutshell, there is no place like home (home server that is.)

Note: If this thread starts getting flames, it will be shut down.

I understand from where your comming but ya can't reason with un-resonable people (Admins) who frequently go againest the ROE, are abusive and could care less. ss1.5 says if its there you can use it, IE tanks etc... yet sight rules are often thrown out the window.

Running a game server or a few game servers has been tough over the last few years. I wish you had posted your complaint on our forums at hellisloose.com so that we can take the issue up, and see where we failed to provide everyone with a kick *** “fun game” as our About_HiL page states. I/we will always listen to anyone that has an issue with server admins bans/kicks. I created the site for server regulars to see our rules, and also as a means to get you ban appealed or removed, server settings changed, or a place to tell us that an admin has just ruined the “Fun Factor”. I give everyone a forum to post problems related to the server administration, server settings; and or, general whatever floats your boat posts. Some use it others don’t. I rarely delete posts which portray my team as being negative unless you take advantage of my system of administration.

A few months ago I applied for the BF2 Server admins forum but never got denied or accepted by this site. I figured that the site is controlled by a competitor host that does not want our server in the listing or name in the list.ETC

Bans used to be like volatile memory, until next process crash; and since the new BF2CC, they stay permanent with MM (mod manager).

It would appear that your resonable it's to bad others arn't the same. Ive tried to post on the Kill on sight web page for the last few weeks and can't seem to get er done. They post that when 1.4 comes out they will ne going IO and thats fine but until them they insist on breaking EA rules at will. How would you aproch that when it seems they're deaf?

If what you said was correct then I'm sure everything would be ok but I know the server logs would differ slightly from your statment mainly on the part of having me leave the chopper. Either way you made a decision in the heat of the moment and it's nice that you commented on your side of the story. My appologies if you lost your admin because we all make mistakes and ultimatly it's just a game.

I recall commenting on this fact, in what was probably a less than cordial manner.

Don't take this negatively, but why would you have bothered to keep going back? After the first time, it's plausible to go back and think maybe the admin had a bad hair day. But after the second time, I'd of said 'f*ck this joint, I'm outta here'.

I'd just find a different server to be a regular on, that server will die out on it's own with sh*tty admins like that policing it.

I am admin at Hell is Loose and have to ask why you have not come and post in our server support forums about this issue?

We have a sticky at the top of our server forums that tells you what to do about kicks or bans (which is post in our server support forum). Anytime someone posts about a ban, we do discuss it and take it very seriously. If the person is cool and respectful with their request then most of the time we lift the ban, making sure that we can track the thread later to see if there is a repeat offender situation. However, if you come into our forums (or other forums) and post with a confrontational attitude then do not expect anything other than a ban that stays in place until the next time we wipe our server lists.

Also, and I'm sorry for missing this, you mention I've kicked you 2 times in the past? I find this quite odd since kicking players with clan tags is quite rare, I usually remember that. Also, the issue 95% of my kicks are for, standing infront of aircraft (not just mine), is usually a multi-week ban as well, since I really can't stand that practice because it's so premeditated and purposeful.

Can you elaborate what these other kicks were for that it might jog my memory?

Sure eveyone else reading this post has a gripe, but keep in mind that there are 1000's of non admins that play the server weekly, for over a year. And we do not have too many complaints but do have a few positive comments.
