I'm getting a black screen when starting out of no where

When i start my game, i'm getting a black screen. This happend out of no where. I've reinstalled 2 times, with and without patch.

It works without patch, and doesn't with the patch!

yea happened to me too yesterday. try unplugging your network cable and then load up bf2 and see if it immediately loads then?

try putting this in your shortcut it made the black thing go away

"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +playerName MyPlAyErNaMe +playerPassword this_is_my_pw

Check your software firewall rules to make sure you are allowing the bf2.exe internet access.

when did it start happening? is it anything from your hardware.

Download the full 1.3 patch. The incremental can cause problems.
