how do I avoid missiles from a jet

May be a daft question. But anyway.

I am flying in a jet and was locked on by the other side jet he fire the missiles and I was killed. The same thing keeps on happening. When I locked onto him and fire my missiles he avoid them with little effort even so I herd the lock sound and had him in my sights. I was flying the F15 and the other person Mig. I use a joystick and also use the C key to look behind me when flying so I know who or what is attacking me usual a jet. lol

Can anyone give me help on the best way to avoid missiles.

Any help is welcome or links. I did a search but could not find anything.

x doesnt always work, they just have to keep trailing ur unpredictable twists, dives and turns, then they are locked back on you.. it's annoying. I rarely find myself on the trail of another jet, but when I do I just wait til the flare locks are over then fire.. Also found getting rid of my mouse pad and using the entire desktop helps when avoiding being trailed e.g. danger locked on, hit "x", and run my mouse clear across the desk spinning me insanely sideways haha (wireless mouse), hold shift and get the **** outta there along hillsides and weaving trees

Of course, if you're flying the F35 you may as well just hit 'E' because hitting 'X' sure as hell won't do much.

If you're up against a pretty new pilot, hit the afterburners and gain height as quickly as possible. Once you get to around 1000m I've found that inexperienced pilots will call off the chase more often than not rather than have to deal with possibly going out of control. Other than that, try hunting your quarry with the air to ground ordinance on, that way the opposition flyer won't here that tell tale warning sign.

Get up behind them nice and close and let them have it with the guns. There's nothing like flying through the exposion of a MIG after you've reduced it to scrap metal with your guns. Nothing at all!

if u use keyboard and mouse go to settings and put pitch and yaw factor to 10 so it easy to do stuff but only do it for the jet

if a j-10 is trailing you, then are doomed no matter what u do.

Anyway as always thank u for your help and advice. I just been on and mange to stay alive even got out of the way a few times and killed a total of 5 jets missed loads of ground amour but I am working on that.

Turn on afterburners, watch the missles appoach your jet, and right before they missles hit you, roll over and pull up. Works for me!

i dont even fly jets, only because they are a ***** to learn. I don't think the balance is thier, people are either really good or really bad. in my opinion.
