Login Speed

I was playing the other day and I was wondering, if someone has a faster internet connection, then they must login faster? Correct? As opposed to someone on a slower connection. Well, I was thinking this because I went to start up BF2 the other day and it took forever to load... just the game. I have my intro videos deleted so usually when I clicked the BF2 icon it would go to a quick black screen then to the Login Screen... maybe a matter of 10 seconds/give or take... but all of a sudden out of no where it would take forever to get to the Logn Screen. I didn't alter my files or anything, my game just decided to start running slow... dramatically too. Any ideas? My internet connect wouldn't have anything to do with the speed of the game starting? Right? I'm not connecting to the internet yet...

So if it isn't the internet connection... what would it be? A slow hard drive?

the more ram and the faster the hdd u have the faster u enter the game.

I dont think so, well of course they do,but I must say that it also depends on the servers performance.

delete all the red servers out of ur favourites and all the white ones. make sure ur favouritw list aint big either..

Yup your favorites list shouldn't have any red servers. This is the biggest Lag when loading BF2. I had once 15 red servers on my favorites and it took me 5-10 min to load BF2. Another thing you can do is to go into Task Manager and set BF2 to Real time or High Priority and that should shave a couple of seconds off BF2 Load time.
