gettin kill damage assists wen u die in a vehicle

i was in a jeep, and i got shot. an enemy soldier then hopped into the gunner seat of the jeep ( a vodnik btw) and started shooting. i could see this as the camera was still on the car. I saw him get kills and at the same time i got kill damage assists ( the same i wud get if i were a passanger in that jeep and a friendly soldier was gettin kills)

has anyone else experianced this bug? or is it jst a one-off?

Kill damage assist means you did damage to someone that died. You damaged an enemy soldier and then a teammate killed that guy before he healed. You get the kill damage assist no matter what your condition is.

Probably the case. If it had been a bug you would have got driver kill assits and not kill damamge.

You would have gotten "driver kill assists" if it were the gunnner in your vehicle.
