I know exactly how you feel parish. It's so frustrating. I like you have more flag caps than average (my TW score is onlyb a few thousand lower than my combat score) and always work to win the round. My advice to you (if you ahven't already) is join a decent teamwork orientated clan or play on clan servers.

64 player karkand servers are like that.

Players know the best places to park armour inorder to get the maximum amount of kills without breaking the rules. There is also a hell of alot of nading and claymore spamming in those servers. It's all about points and no lone cares if they win or lose.

32 player karkand I can just about tolerate if I want some teamwork action. I go to a 64 rarely but not often. Alot of hackers play 64 karkand.

So I'm playing the other night and I hit a 64 player Karkand server.

That seems to be the problem right there. Most people don't realize that you can go past the hotel.:p

Well, I have 4,361 kills with guns (pistol,carbines,rifles etc.) other than a tank so maybe you can't read well. Those are guns right? Or maybe your talking about special guns I have not seen in the game yet? I have also spent well over half of my total play time outside of the tanks and that is what you consider most of my time? Less than half? Lol... talk about reaching to make a point.

I would thank you for taking out the AT/Spec Ops guys for me, but I can do that just fine on my own. Seriously dude, you're not even close to having a point and I can only assume you just wanted to participate in this thread by your feeble attempt to attack me in the hopes that the OP could not defend his own stats. You were mistaken. Move along. Or perhaps you want me to chat about your stats?

The well rounded players are identifiable by the stats they wear.

Padders are obvious. No team score to mention, no flag caps, not many medals or badges that have gone expert and few Gold/Silver/Bronze.

Sounds like an pistol/knife server if no one was using the tank/apc.

I had an awesome game last night with 4 of us in a squad, it was so good that we exchanged addys and stuff to recreate it. When BF2 works properly it's awesome, not many games can compare to it.

I dont go for just kills. I Rambo my way to the hotel, cap it, and then do it with the next flag. U must have been with a really bad team, cause I rarely see an entire team not go for a flag.

So I'm playing the other night and I hit a 64 player Karkand server. The round starts and I form a squad and hop in a APC to make my way to the back flag. No one gets in the vehicle or joins the squad. No big deal, this is normal as most players don't want to use teamwork so I am used to it. I manage to avoid AT rockets and other vehicles and get all the way to the Factory and request a UAV and some support. Nothing happens. Maybe the commander did not see the request so I do it again. Nothing. I get the flag grey and then I get artied and die.

I spawn at the US main again and notice the APC's and tank are sitting there. Now mind you that there are about 25 players on my team. I check the HUD and notice that all of them are at or near the hotel fighting. In the APC I go and off to take a flag. I make it to the train wreck and get the flag grey before I get a Vodnik strike on the roof of my APC and die.

I take a moment to watch when I spawn again and don’t see anything about it being a KP server or anything like that. I notice people are using weapons but I am the only one in a squad. I am the only one using the vehicles.

Off again I go to grab a flag. I finally get the suburb and being my one man attack on the rear flags. I managed to get two more flags before I realized that even though people were dying left and right on my team, not one of them has spawned at ANY of the flags I took.

The round ends in a loss of course and I leave. This is not an isolated incident as I see people all day long not trying to play the game for the objectives, but for kills. I have noticed even most of the top ranked players in the world can't touch my flag cap score and I am not the greatest player by any means. There are people who have played 1500 more hours than I and have 150k more GS, but have not taken any flags? What the hell? Isn't this game about flags to begin with? You take them, defend them right?

I am just amazed at how this fantastic War Game became Quake and how the mentality of the playing masses has gone from even remotely playing as a team to an all out war one on one with infantry. Did I not get the memo?

according to your stats you spend most of your time in a tank, you have yet to even kill 1k people with a gun...
So if I spent all that time in an "armored" vehicle..I too could stroll upto flags.

You could hand us other guys thanks for taking otu the AT/SPec Ops guys runnin up to kill you as you cap...

SO what next? why the guy who doesnt play Medic/Support has no team points?

I also go for flags and teamwork and my k/d ratio is crap becuase of it.
Maybe i should just go for kills to get my ratio up
Na i play for fun and to win the round, im not a stat whore

Obviously you don't get the point behind the post. Read it agian please as I was only using that server as an example to allow you to visualize the main context of the issue on the whole.
