Shame the games gone down the toilet ,the army guys have really screwed it up.Too much of a recruiting tool ,not much of a game anymore.

OK for starters the damage hinderance system is way over board ,although its realistic its not much fun, imagine in BF2 if everytime you got hit ,for a second or two you would be all over the place like a drunk/on welfare falling of a park bench.

Secondly the rpk has been toned down ,making the gun not what it should be.

The maps just get bigger and more boring.

The Devs dont really give a **** ,and only rarely provide the community with tit bits.

No mods avaliable or allowed for it,stopping talented modders from making the game better.

        Re: Americas Army

I have played the game off and on since it's beginning and feel that for what it does, it is a very well done game.

Some say it's a recruiting tool.. possibly. But it is a very immersive game that sometimes has you going to Class to earn medic class, sniper class etc.

I will always love the MOUT McKenna, if only Karkand and Kutu Arms of JO fame had interiors and subterrain finished and useable.

They need to get away from one Squad each side and start moving towards full Platoons, Company (Troop) on up for good battles. Imagine taking and passing class to be permitted to fly.

The Honor system is very brutal. Tkers will find themselves out of honor everywhere and that is needed to stay in the game. You can tk all day in BF2 but 3 bad Tk's can get you lost so much points (And honor) that you will either be back to the basic newbie servers or banned from so many.

I did toss a grenade into the packed church at Bravo in the MOUT and watched 4 of my teammates file thru the same door following the grenade as it bounced and clinked along the stone floor. Imagine the horror. Been there, done that.

You did watch what you were shooting because of the way the Honor system works.

Now if they only did a game for the United States Marine Corps... sigh.

Oh. One more thing. Snipers kill one shot at any range and when that SAW opens fire, everyone seeks cover except friendlys.

Yes I played it for years then stopped. I use to have alot of time invested into that game. It was a fun game but it lost its appeal to me.

I forget even my account info as I try to remember what it was.. LOL!

                    Re: Americas Army

I got to Honour 24 in 3 days. It started off a little slow (needed to adjust to mechanics of the game ...like shooting..nade spamming). Doing the SF training (the sneak and evade one) didn't help a whole lot besides wasting time. wOOt!....I learned how to camp...

Anyway, for a free game, AA is a great game. I just got bored with some of the maps (some maps are too big...move too slow). It didn't help getting pwned quickly in a round and then waiting for people to finish the OBJ or die. To this day, I still wonder how people can ID enemies from long distances. When I played, I was often wondering if he was friendly or foe (the uniforms didn't do a whole for me...too similiar I guess).

Two maps I enjoyed playing: Pipeline and Hospital. I should also add, I was very impressed with the AA community when I started as a nooblet. People would actually take the time to explain stuff to you and show you around the map.

You have to clean it off using Start> Control Panel> Add&Remove programs>

If you have a wipe program drag the AA to it's wipe box and it will be gone.

Open my computer, select disk, open AA in program files, drag to recycle bin and delete.
