Hows the game lagg?

I downloaded the multiplayer demo and noticed a lot of lagg. I was aiming with the sniper rifle scoped in and dead on, with no kill, several times. Do the servers you guys play on lagg? I have a 5meg dl speed, so I wouldn't think that should be a problem. Could it be my setup?
PD 3.6ghz, Asus P5WD2-P, Radeon X800 Pro 256MB, 2gb ram, WD 10,000 rpm 150gb

And I think the demo is 10x better than the latest patch when lag is compared, EA screwed it pretty bad.

Theres bullet drop in this game, and you have to aim ahead of people to actually hit them.

But yes the game is bloody laggy thanks to the SF patch/1.3 patch.

Vroom, since you're new at BF2 there's some things you prolly aren't aware of about the game. All weapons have Deviation, meaning shots often don't go exactly where you aim. Crouching, proning, and/or going to ironsights/scope all help reduce deviation. Even just holding still increases your chance of placing shots where you're aiming.

Bullet drop and travel time is modeled in the game aswell. This means that you have to aim a little high at long range and you need to be able to lead a moving target.

Remember too, it takes a clean headshot to drop someone with one round from a sniper rifle. Body shots won't do it.


Watch for a little yellow X to pop up when you pull the trigger. If you see it, you hit. If not, you missed.

Practice. The game isn't the same as a lot of other FPS and takes some time to get used to.
