    Against the ROE?

    Would this as a rule

You can only use the helicopter 2 rounds on and 2 rounds off

be breaking the ROE, because they are limiting if you can be in a vehicle?

      Yes I believe so.

No player can be limited by any specific rule that prohibits any vehicle use or action that is part of the game.

Does this type of rule sound exceptionally DUMB to anyone else?

The rule is not necessarily dumb, as a server owner I can relate. If I want to fly in my own server and someone keeps taking the chopper over and over and over again, that is going to suck. Allowing equal access to vehicles makes sense.

A better way to state that rule is:
"Please allow everyone equal access to the vehicles & aircraft. Whoring a vehicle map after map is discouraged"

well, whoring it all the time could be considered hindering your team, at least technically. They may be better, at it, being an advantage.

Also, it is legal in only 1 instance to restrict vehicle use: Commander. You can have a rule that says they can't fly or drive a tank for example. I do know that's legal.

That falls under admin descretion, the play fair, it isnt "your" aircraft, let other have a turn, it isnt restricting who can use it, just how much

technically - it is a violation
however- admins have discretion to kick folks that hinder game play
(hmm . . that used to be there - better go check to see if it survived all the edits

I play to fly a heli/plane. I paid for the game, not letting do what you want (and considerd "legal") is violation of your personal rights...but still sometimes I get kicked just becouse the admin wants to fly :|:

Admins can do whatever they want to kick people for vehicle use or commander use.

A good idea but it would never happen.

i think it promotes sharing, and not being a stupid whore.....

this rule would only suck to a greedy whore.....plain and simple....

Rather than kicking (it's hard enough to get people on the server!) I prefer to move them to another team if they vehicle whore.

Also, queue jumpers get moved too. There's nothing worse than waiting for a vehicle to respawn only for someone else to join you and have a quicker reaction on the E key! We discourage queuing for vehicles already out there in battle, but if you know it's due to spawn and you're waiting there for it, for someone to roll up (usually by leaping out of a jeep and hitting you with it) only to steal the new vehicle, is just plain rude.

They mustn't teach good manners at school these days.
