Get a new kit after being revived?

I am trying to figure out if it is something I am doing, or it is just a bug. I hate it after being revived you get the kit near your body sometimes.... I get revived and get with some random kit with no amo and I am trying to shoot an enemy, it really ticks me off. Is this just another bug in BF2?

usually it happens when ur a medic, u get killed,and some teammate picks up ur kit and revives you. you pick up the kit that he dropped.

Also can happen when you're dead, someone picks up your kit, and then someone else comes to revive you.

If you die, if someone else is out of ammo or somethin.. they see your kit...



Now they pick it up and see it has ammo or it is a gun/kit they like... etc. When you get revived, you will be stuck with that persons kit.

The reason why most of the time when that DOES happen that you have low ammo, is because people get desperate and don't care what kit they pick up when they are out of ammo.

yeah this happans to me a lot bugs me so much it isn't funny but what can you do whine and complain i guess.... but thats noobish

its not a bug...it just happens when therse a bunch of kits around u and when u get revived u get the kit nearest u which can be anything around u..it also happens when u see a bunch of kits around and u try to pick up a certain one, but pick up anotehr

I noticed if you die next to a pile of kits from an enemy squad or something you might get stuck with one of their weapons because you are close to there and you have to switch back to yours. I've noticed a lot of low ranks stealing my unlocks also after I died. I'm usually just glad to be alive and that it didn't count as a death so I don't really care what kit I get as long as it's a decent weapon with a good amount of ammo.

I don't think it is because someone picks up your medic kit adn revives you with it. Because when I play with my clan, and one of my clan mates which is already is a medic revives me, I still get some random kit.

It's not random. Consript had it right. It depends on what is already on the ground.

Your body and your kit are two separate things. Most medics revive the body and you are assigned the closest kit, which may be different that what you were (or what the other guy dopped when he picked up your medic kit). Medic can also revive the kit itself, in which case the body "moves" to that kit, which has to be the same kit you were using. For example, you blow up on a claymore on a balcony and your body falls off, but the medic revives your kit - then your body magically appears on the balcony where the kit is.

I wouldn't say bug, but it's "buggy." It depends on proximity, iirc.

the best way to get around your problem is to learn all kits and there weapons, that way when it happens to you it wont matter what kit you get and you'll be glad of one less death :)

you could also look out for other kits and just press G just keep changing it till you find one that you do like

It's not noobish, it's called teamwork. The best course of action for this on your part would be to learn to use ALL the kits really well. Than you will not have anything to complain about.

I'll tell you what is annoying, playing Iron Gator which is full of Support and Medics and you get killed , then some nice medic comes along and revives you, good deal thanks, and all of sudden you have the one kit that is an absoltue no-no................F......ing ENGINEER........who the hell goes engy on Iron Gator :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:
i think i'll put a mine down in the mess hall or maybe the engine room WTF :laugh: :laugh:

still , after swearing i did have a laugh about it and found it rather funny, oh and there were only 3 mines left in the kit too :laugh:
