3ds studio max instillation problem

When i go to install 3ds max it comes up with a message saying u must close down this program. file whatever in order to continue instillation.
The file that stops it is monitor.exe. I press close and it wont close so i cant install 3ds max.
can anyone help?

monitor.exe is a service which is a part of the Microsoft Server operating system, and is specifically related to monitoring hardware components for performance bottlenecks.

Try ending the process in task manager and then running the install.

Ahhh thx its worked. I can now create the sniper rifle i wanted to . Will the monitor.exe come back though?
