I punish only for obviously intentional TK. Everyone should do the same. Just hit forgive, it makes you feel better that you're not as much an idiot as all the punishers. Or, EA/Dice should just get rid of the punish thing altogether. Lose 2 points for a TK, end of story.

Same here, if its accidental...like a jet taking out armour and i just get in the way thats fine its my fault for not been aware there was a jet there. Unless its obviously a intentional TK i jst forgive, same with every member of my clan.

I have a code i go by when deciding if to punish.

when to forgive
1. if its a jet and the jet kills an enemy or attempted to kill an enemy
2. if i am attacking a group of enemys from behind and the people attacking from the ront throw a grenade at the enemy and it kills me.
3. if i run around a corner fast and meet a frendly and he mitakes me for an enemy.

i do not forgive for
1. blind grenadiers if you throw a grenade blindly at the enemy and it hits me i punish
2. all gun kills are punished unless it was caused by confusion
3. tk kills for vehicles

If I get punished for mines that are placed to protect an oncoming tank or apc, I just switch teams since I hate playing with noobs. As for planewhores, I punish 100% of the time since I HATE THEM!!!! Too many times they just fly, see a target and bomb it. Not thinking about the ground forces that are there to take the target out or cap a flag. PUNISH THEM!!!!!!

A simple solution is to play on servers with ff off for mines and claymores. There's many out there. It's much more fun and removes the worry of accidental tks and those punishing fruits.

I As for planewhores, I punish 100% of the time since I HATE THEM!!!! Too many times they just fly, see a target and bomb it. Not thinking about the ground forces that are there to take the target out or cap a flag. PUNISH THEM!!!!!!

Yeah but theres nothing worse than fighting your way to a flag killing the enemys only to be killed by a idiot flying 10,000 feet above.If im killed by a pilot on my team i always punish .

So, you'd behave like the smacktard the other night who punished me after I dropped two bombs from an F35B on 2 apcs and 1 tank all parked very close together, killing them all, plus a couple of passengers and accidentally killing the "friendly" noob standing near them?
Pilots look at mini maps, but it's often difficult to judge just how close a friendly noob is to the target. Usually these people are going to die anyway and I consider losing one infantry to 3 armoured vehicles plus passengers an acceptable loss, even if it is me who's suffered the fratricide.
Personally if the situation is reversed (and it often has been), I'm grateful the pilot took out those tanks raping the infantry or taking the flag, allowing me to respawn unhindered and move on.

If I get killed by a bomber in a run, I dont punish. Its hard to see troops on the ground, especially if the commander doesnt have UAV feed over where the planes are flying, so its understandable, even if it is frustrating every now and then.

Stupid twats on your own team that run around a corner, think oyure an enemy, fire their last bullet, then wait the 4 seconds to realod while Im not attempting to shoot them or do anything a typical enemy would do, and empty their new clip into me get full punishment. But thankfully I dont get that too much anymore.

I get pissed off because im sick of being looked at as collatral damage,i work damn hard to fight my way to flags and when i finally get there i get bombed by my own team.

They shouldnt drop the bombs if they think a friendly might be there , a lot of pilots i have seen just fly around watching the flags turn white regardless if they being captured by there teammates ,how would you feel if your brother was in irac or something and he got ****ed up by a pilot dropping bombs on his head would you think "oh well look at the big picture we got a tank aswell" i know its only a game but still its annoying and i will continue to punish pilots who bomb me.

Canada hit the "Forgive" button when those n00b American pilots dropped bombs on our troops. :P

All kidding aside, everyone who punishes, should stop, think about what actually happened and THEN hit forgive or punish. If you got bombed but the guy got three vehicles with it, it was worth it, trust me.

I beg to differ. You are collateral damage. We all are. When it comes to planes, it's so hard to see infantry down there when you're bombing so high up there ( the air is much nicer up there).

I agree with him completely. If he took out a few tanks/apcs/passengers it's totally worth it because you couldn't have taken them all out your own. I have been killed many times by aircrafts and I don't punish.

In fact, I can't even remember the last time I punished someone.

You can't take out a few tanks. period.

Spec-ops: 2 C4 to blow a tank. So if you were lucky enough you could take down 2. Not enough left to take down the 3rd, and then you have an APC too there.

Only possible way would be engineer and blow up the armor with mines, but then a teammate might run it over and punish you. :P

Nope you've just got to learn to predict the good ones and the ones, well, that are learning.

And no need to tell me about how they should go and parctice on single player b/f they go pub. Sure to a certain extint, yes. But again, it's all about prediction. You can't get that expirence on single player.

I've noticed that some flags get bombed more than others. It's also pretty easy to figure out flight patterns as well. You'll know when that sucker's commin so....

I luv em and the game would'nt be the same without them. The kicker is, they seem to appoligize more than anyone else. So I. NEVER. PUNISH. PILOTS, much less, anyone else. It's lame.
