Yeah, my 6800gt died a while ago and I was stuck with a ti4600 for a couple of months so couldn't play BF2 so I went back to 1942. I had a ball, it was really great fun. I was stuck with vanilla as DC wouldn't work but it was a real blast from the past. It didn't even feel "old" and "outdated", just fun.

wow im pretty surprised...i recommended bf2 to a guy and he got bf42 cuz his comp isnt good enuff and i was surprised he played fine

i kind of like 1942 because since there is no stat system ROE is never enforced and there are no stat padders. but i rather play bf2 i dont like 1942s gameplay.

good games never die indeed,, but it is strange most of them are not playing mods online! including mods singleplayer the amount of players may be 5000 for sure

I can't play due to the patch issue, everytime I download the patch it says its corrupted and I've downloaded it over 20 times from different servers, downloaded at least 6 times from EA's server and tech support don't know what is wrong.

Just baught this for nostalgia.

You're bullets actually go where you aim. Planes are a blast, you actually have to be mindful of altitude and airspeed/momentum.

Absolutely spot on with the comment about no stats. Stats have created such an assanine dynamic in game play and horrid jealousies. People hating and calling everyone whores. Back in the day if you were good in a plane you were called an ace. Now you're a plane whore.

I'm a god in a tank in this game.
