    Ingame shadows

I have seen many videos where players see soldier shadows on the ground, but not dark and huge building shadows at all? I was wondering how this is done, cause to get player shadows, you need:

    Lightning: medium

..which means you get building shadows as well. Please help me with this riddle

Here is user who has 2 videos of battlefield with these settings:

Dynamic shadows? That's an option too.

I don't know because I have dynamic shadows off, and lighting on low.

Shadows off are actually a better option. Enemy cannot hide in shadows if there arent any.

I don´tknow what are my settings but last week I killed a sniper that was weel hidden but his shadow was dispalyed in another building...He couldn´t see me But I knew that he was somewhere...so when he pops his head I manged to kill him.
So his problems was that his shadow was cast across an alley and the building didn´t cast any.

Did you read my post at all? I want NO building shadows (where enemy can hide) but i want player shadows.

The options are made so, that automatically forces you to use building shadows and players shadows at the same time. But ive seen people go around it, question is HOW?

And i have tried to tweak all possible things, so im not new to this game. So answer if you know the exact solution.

            Re: Ingame shadows

Go play the game at the best settings u can and don't set it lower to get a advantage, how lame.
If ur like that don't go for Crysis and Dx10, since u don't use the graphics.
PS: Shadows or no Shadows = i perform better with shadows on.

Ah that's what you ment.. I play on low settings because I must (well not really but I get more frames.) That indeed is very handfull when looking for people..

                  Re: Ingame shadows

You want lighting off (static objects) so you can see in the corners, & you want dynamic shadows on so you see enemy shadows

They are 2 different settings, there is no "trick" to setting your vid options this way

Also set your monitor kinda' bright, if you are US, you will notice that MEC players w/ darker uniforms like to set in front of dark objects, & you don't notice them until you see their muzzle flash

                  peace:)

                    Re: Ingame shadows

Thats the thing ive tried to do, BUT if you set Lightning Low, and Dynamic Shadows anything else than OFF, and press Apply settings, you will automatically lose Dynamic Lightning value to OFF

                    So:

                    Lightning: Low (building shadows)
                    Dynamic Shadows:low (player shadows)

Is not possible, because Lightning on low will force Dynamic shadows to OFF.
So after i press "apply" the Dynamic Shadow will be forced to go OFF
Only after setting Lightning to Medium (=building shadows ON), i can keep Dynamic light the value i want. Tricky situation.
Its the same with all my friends, and we havent found a way to go around it. Maybe ATI vs. NVIDIA question?
