My original Name was SinisterX, which I came up with while playing StarFleet Command II

THE ROUGHAGE RIDERS STORY

A group of four friends would regularly get together on a private teamspeak server, join one of several game servers, and play collaboratively. Not so unusual. What was unusual is the humor that developed over the weeks and months that we played. One night, there was a rather twisted conversation that culminated in a threat to stab ones teammate in the eye with a pickle. Why not? Can you imagine a worse death?

The following day, that player changed his nick name to Pickle of Death. The name was goofy, and people began to comment about how crappy it was to be killed by some guy named Pickle of Death. After a few days of game play, and more comments, other players decided to inflict further psychological damage on the enemy and the migration to vegetable names began. I don't remember which came when, but the 3 other friends soon became Avocado of Vengeance, Asparagus of Terror, and Cumquat of Pain. From that day forward, it was not uncommon to hear cries on the enemy teamspeak such as "Get those damn vegetables at South!" as we held the El Alamein south base. The seed of the vegetable army was planted.

After a while, some of us started to join the public teamspeak server on our favorite El Alamein server where we met people, interacted in our usual goofy way, and well I guess it was infectious. Pretty soon people we were playing and joking with began to convert to veggie names; and within a few months it wasn't unusual to look at the Blue Team roster and find 30-50% veggies, and the fun just continued to grow.

On this particular server, the contrast of the Teamspeak environment on one team versus the other was glaring. On one side, you had a good time with the veggies. On the other there was a profanity-filled high-stress egomaniac environment where you were told how stupid, slow, ignorant, or unskilled you were. A natural migration was inevitable; and the server began having serious problems with team balance which further infuriated our host.

As with anything, change is inevitable. The veggie army became threatening enough to our host that some of the more serious players would curse at us, threaten us, delete our forum posts, ban us from the server, unbalance map equipment, and what have you. Our favorite server had become an unpleasant place of persecution. One evening, a few of the regulars including Pepper of Pestilence were witnessing this annoying treatment and Pepper decided it was time to take action. He did the research, dropped the coin; and www.RoughageRidersClan.com was born. We are now over 25 clan members strong, and strive to keep a FUN, light hearted, fair game environment for all. With the Roughage Riders, Fun is #1.

Myself and my roomate at the time came up with the clan name and tags. Been a great time ever since!

Tronchaser comes from slang for US Navy Electronics Techs... get it? Chasing electrons around... I use it for all online gaming and forums, and so far I've always been able to use it. It has nothing to do with the TRON movies... although, I am old enough to remember them and like them!

Was rather surprised I got "Noble_Rotter" as my BF2 nic what with so many people already registered.

Mine is old, from my quake 2 days.
When Q2 was released, I needed an online alias when playin at my local lan-hall/netcafe-with-no-cafe (or whatever it`s called), so I came up with some random names, L3adCannon was one of em.

mine is a nick name from when i was in 6th grade. my name starts with a J and im useally and underdog and im a well known in my area so im everyones dogg so the name jdogg come along and ive been named that ever since

Mine is simply an old name I kept from a time long ago when I played in a small CS clan and I have never bother to change it. Clan was called [ArdNuts] and we all had names related to the clan name:
