Server who ban for X rank and more/less

Did you already saw a server that one of the rule is like : Server for sergeant and less ? And what do you think of that kind of server?

I play on that kind of server yesterday (I'm higher than Sergeant), but my friend who just start playing was on that server, so I deceide to go anyway, I play all the round, then at the end I kill one of the clan member of that server and he told me : you didn't read the rule and he kick me.

I was wondering, what will they do when all the clan will be higher than sergeant (I don't remember how much pts it takes to be sergean) and is it against the ROE to let only people of a certain rank playing on a server?

Just tell your friend to get off, and both of you find any of the thousands of servers out there that don't impose that rule:)

Its just another form of stat padding that can and should be reported to the BFROE

I suppose its a clan who assumes that anyone below sgt. is some kinda n00b who can't play properly yet. What they are forgetting is that everyone was sgt. once.

That sounds totally unrealistic and all they are asking for are people to create private accounts to go on their and grief other players... (I'm under the assumption that the server does not want higher ranked players playing)

I understand the reasoning...but it just shouldn't be done or allowed.

BF2 does not have any matching service...but it would be nice to have a way to be able to play against people of similar experience and skill if you so choose. But that will never happen.

Yeah when I got kick my friend just leave...anyway they suck, I was sniper and finish the round with something like 29-8 without even try to hide myself, I was running in the street and snipping everybody

If you want to make some account and go on the server, it's name was something like Quebec ][ftc][ or something like that, just put Quebec in the search term and look for a server with ftc in the name

The reason that will never happen is because overly aggressive players would just create new accounts so they can join to own the n00bs. I'm guilty of that myself. Not in BF2, but in Halo. I'd see servers that said, "new players only", and I'd join and get top 3 every match. I gaurantee you, the exact same thing would happen in BF2.

So, you either hang with the best, or die like the rest.

edit: i also just looked in the ROE ther is nothing against it in the ROE.

cal community generally has pugs and well run other instances of the sort for fun and to play against other people of the same level, also competition clan hosted servers for infantry only seem to be popular right now too...i guarantee the average pubber would hate it in there

and yea, back to the original topic....thats retarded i have about 8 accounts and everytime i end up making a new one im pubbing in some server and some pubber will give me grief over my rank (because clearly rank is everything) when in reality i have close to 150,000 points combined between my accounts...on top of 2 seasons of cal-main experience, but clearly rank > all

if you can find the server again post an IP so some of us can go in there as a private and rape some face, piss off some nub clanners and get banned for "hacking"

It could very well be that they are trying to have a server where the stat-junkies don't come. A server where teamplay, fun and a good atmosphere is kept alive.

The people playing there are perhaps the ones that have played on unranked servers for that same reason.

Considering all the harebrained server-rules you find out there, this server might actually be a reasonable place to play the game.
