Intresting CTD observation.

Hello all, hope y'all well.

Dont know if has cropped up for a few multi account players such as myself.
(Hellboy is my Alt new account)

I was trying playing on a Mashtar City map server (64 player) the other night with my mate who is in my clan. I fired up and logged in with my main account (not hellboy) - here is the problem, everytime when joining the server as the join game button pops up it would CTD as my main account. did this 5 times.

I restart BF2 and login with Hellbo660 and join the same server and I get no CTD and to be honest never get a CTD with the Hellboy account only my main account ever seems to have the problem on certain servers.

Anyone else ever seen this???

Im thinking CTD is an account related issue not patch related....

i found out that sometimes having setting that your computer cant suport can couse it to crash. for me i but my sound on high and it would crash so i just put it back to normal and it works fine.

Reinstall the patch (the big one) on your PC and this issue will go away.

If not, uninstall the game and reinstall the game.

It's a copy protect problem. The solution is posted, I haven't had a CTD since I performed the repair procedure a few months ago.

some people have reported that changing their profile from profile 001 to 002 or 3 eliminates ctd's this looks to be your case. go to my documents>bf2 and change it see if it stops the ctd on your main account.

Last night I was playing with 2 other people, we'll call them person A and person B.

We wer're all trying to get on the same server, but everytime person B joined, the server crashed...

This happened thrice, and finally on the fourth attempt he got into a server without crashing it.

yep. my freind who was sitting right next to me used an alternate account. it worked. so he logged out and re-logged in as his old (non-working) account and it SOLVED THE PROBLEM.
