Community Members,

As we all know, the BF2 forums are filled with people complaining about how BF2 should be and how we can fix it and even done to death threats to Dice programmers if the game isnt fixed properly. well i made up the last one but you gotta admit it proberly did cross forum members minds at one point or another.

Think back when the Desert storm mod came about. It took over like a wild fire in a barn full of hay.

This is my proposal

We find a clever and talented mod team. We create a committe comprising of key people in the bf2 community. Certain provisions will be put in place etc. We open up some sort of account of some sort - maybe pay pal or eqivilant. We employ these people to work on a new mod with constant interaction from the community due to the fact that its the community paying for their wages.

The community donante money into the account. Think about it, if every forum member donated like $1-$5 to into that account, we would be able to come up with some interesting figures which would all go towards the creation and research of the improved bf2 mod.

After heavy integration with the community via forums and the like, we produce a killer mod that will iron out the issues and improve the gameplay of BF2 and then get the server owners envolved and start hosting the mod.

This is a propsal and i think its probably the only way we are going to fix BF2.

unfortunatly most of the major issues of BF2 are hardcoded into the engine,meaning that only DICE has access to it. Modders have access to maybe half of what the engine offers yet Dice chose to hardcode alot of the important stuff therefore leaving mod teams left in the dust....

But there are alot of really awsome mods coming out, wich you DONT have to pay for. I suggest you look into some-

Oh ok.

I was under the impression that the modders would be able to make any sort of changes to the game beside visual components.

Hopefully then P.O.E will take off as anticipated.

It's not a bad idea, but modders usually do that on their own. zuiquan1 is right. Most mods are waiting for some stability and fixes to the engine before releasing their mods. Some people conspire to believe that it was intentional on the part of EA/Dice so that mods would not trump the original game so quickly.
