I'm looking at purchasing an an x850xt, because of the ridiculously low price, but the fact that thing takes up two slots worries me. I only have one pci-e slot, and there is no other slot above it for the fan. does it have to be attached, or how does that work?

On newegg it looks like the fan is on top...and on my 7600gt the fan is on top as well. Or do you mean specifically on the x850?

Yes it needs 2 slots. But hopefully you have an extra pci directly under the pci-e for the fan. And yes the fan is on the bottom.Comment
