    Button Delay

Well I just got the BF2 demo because I just got a new computer and I am planning on getting the full version of BF2. Anyways ill get to the point.

For some reason when I have my settings on default (High) my actions are delayed. For example, if I were sprinting forward and would let go of the buttons and stop, I would continue running for 2-3 seconds at least. Or I would press the button to move forward and it wouldn't respond for a second or so. This is all happening in the single player in the demo.
When I turn my graphics back down to low, everything is fine and there is no delay.

I find this strange, though, that the game runs perfectly smooth with no lag and great frames per second, but it does this.

Does anyone know whats causing this and/or how to fix it?

    Re: Button Delay

    Need your computer specs.

Do you get the delay if your settings are on medium?

The delay could be cause of a lot of things, we need computer specs to help troubleshoot.

Maybe your problem is dealing with your Graphic Card ? Some people cannot run the game on Medium/High because the game will start to stutter. Did you try changing your settings to Medium ? Also, please let us know what kind of graphics card you have.

I custom built it. Even if the links don't work you still know the names.

Yes I still got the delay when I moved it down to medium. I still got it when I turned like everything but a few things to medium. Once everything is on the worst settings (except maybe one thing, I cant remember) then it stops delaying. I was going to see if there was one specific visual effect that made it delay but I haven't done that yet.

I really doubt its because my computer cant handle it. My fps are great which is kinda a sign of it being something else.

Could it be my connection; even though it still happens in single player? I have acually had similar but less sever problems like this in an online 2d spaceship shooter game. Buttons only delay there for like a second at most, though.
