I use iron sights or scopes when they are more then 15 or 20 feet away. But I never really use them for support just because the iron sights are less accurate for the RPK-74.

thats not true the pkm is more accurate unscoped prone then scoped HOWEVER you can't snipe at any great distance without the iron sight just because you can't pinpoint the area of impact as easily but the deviation is .8 unzoomed and 1 zoomed

The Deviation zoom 1 ,doesn't change it's accuracy at all

in fact ,it makes "less recoil"=>lower deviation=>higher accuracy when firing auto

like many others have said, depends on the situation and the gun. i never scope unless at least 20ft away. could explain my 16% accuracy...

most time i scoope only in man to man i shoot pointblank
it shoots nicer with scoope

Interesting, i always thought using the scope would increase your accuracy.

I tend to be in scope view more than normal view.

Which is the best sceanrio to be in if you see a player say 20-40 feet away and u were using a non sniper kit.

Considering some aspects as quick get away, cover, accuracey, viewing distance.

Prone, scope and shoot
Prone and shoot
Crouch, scope and shoot
Crouch and shoot

I use them for running-&-gunning and when I'm prone. Also, for picking off longer-range targets, and when support.

same for me as most people really.. i tend to use the iron sights only at distance.. i feel most of the guns e.g (ak101, m16, m4) < the guns i mostly use for matches.. are better without the scope.. gives u more manuverability (excuse my spelling) to get out of the way quicker if u start losing a lot of health

Dno if its just me but sometimes it seems that when i use the iron sights there is a greater kickback on the weapon. You should try playing Red Orchestra, no crosshairs so you have to use the iron sights or ur screwed, unless you learn how to rifle but somebody, which at first is hard untill you learn how to take them in one.

ya its not a huge diffrence in accuracy but it saves time and makes it easier to aim if they are jumping around or if there are multiple targets

Ahh I havent tried this, im stuck with the scope, I usually kill a guy 20-30 feet away, killem with 7 bullets fired off my PKM

I use scope at least when a guy is 10 feet away, its more accurate, but when its point blank i dont use the scope, unless im using a sniper rifile. Support guns are more accurate if you use scope only at prone, PKM is the best for this. I can basically snipe with the MEC anti tank submachine gun.

Most common mistake I see and why I always shoot people first the scoping costs time and time is valuable in a shooting.. I shoot unscoped from quite long distances.. at least that's my view on this subject
