The Battlerecorder is a server option so make sure you visit one that has it on. (use server filters) then after a round on a Battlerecorder server you go to the community tab in bf2 main menu. From there you can download your saved videos. Sorry if I mis-understood your question but i think thats right.

Yea with the server client you could but if you are talking about normal footage while you play on a server you are best off just finding a BR server (there are quite a few). Also your saved movies only last as long as the server wants to hold them so its best to download it after each map.

You can. Simply start your own LOCAL or SINGLE PLAYER game. Open the console with the "tilde" "~" key.

            Type in the following command-

            Code:
            demo.recordDemo demoname*
(demoname* indicates the name of your demo)

            To stop recording-

            Code:

            demo.stopRecording
If they dont work on the FIRST time, dont lose hope. I always have to type the start command in two times.

            To view the demos.

            First create a folder named
            Code:
            demos
in your default profile folder here

            Code:
            C:\Documents and Settings\yourusername\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\Default\demos
Then go to your BF2 folder-

            Code:

            C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Demos
Copy/Cut all the files from that folder and bring them to the
            Code:
            demos
folder you created to your profiles folder.

To record the demo and everything you see there, use such tool as FRAPS at www.fraps.com , which is a demo that records in 30 second loops.
