Spawn camping is a legit tactic. Especially areas like the alleyway by the hotel on karkand.

If you spawn at the Karkand Hotel 15 times in a row and expect the tank and apc to NOT kill you, you're getting what comes to you.

If thats your only spawn point left and you have no choice, then you did something wrong leading up to this point and you should re-evaluate your teams strategy or lack there of.

I don't have an issue with what is called "spawn camping" at all - and I am evena devout defender-tyope of player, so I am the "target" of this tactic all the time.

As for BF2142, it seems that there will be some large "motherships" in the air and I seriously think they will be hard to "spawn camp".

Generally speaking, excessive long-lasting overwhelming spawn-camping is only possible on poorly designed maps (unless the entire enemy teamhas all flags and ALL there arounmd your homebase). The number of different spawn-locations and these positions' relative cover from parked vehicles etc. determines how much of a fighting chance the respawning soldiers have to survive and fight back.

As a general design-rule for maps, it would make sense to have more different spawn-locations under more cover at the uncappable homebase.

there will always be spawn camping. or at least someone will always complain about it. Stop complaining, work together and fight your way out of it. and for god sakes dont all spawn as snipers!!!!

Just like in real life. Titty shields are hard to penetrate, you need to lob a lot of missiles at them.

Ah that would be cool spawning right in front of a tank nah I think in BF2 with all the planes/tanks/cars/etc. it's way too complicated too integrate such system. And I think it also will also create new bugs etc.

Nothing is more funny then people who complain about spawn camping. If you get killed by a spawn camper spawn somewhere else or look for them and kill them with a knife
