    voip

    i read somewhere (cant remember) to disable voip to help performance. i was wondering if i uncheck voip will i not be able to hear when people speak? or just not be able to use a mic...?

        No, you won't hear them. The enable VOIP option applies to the entire feature, not just the transmit portion.

          Well, first of all (no offence) but if VOIP is having that big of a impact on performance...then your already in trouble.

          Second, you can probably go into your voice setup files and disable only the transmit part, but I don't know how to do that.

          Last, Ventrilo for the win, not teamspeak

            Disabling VOIP will not give any performance boost, however disabling VIOP can allow other programs to run better ie third party communication programs.
