can you spectate?

just quick question, i have my own server, is their a way to spectate so that i can kick people breaking the rules? i hate when i have to kick players and not see that they did 100% indeed break a rule.

Press the X over your map, and press C to cycle through the players.

For admin spectatorship, I believe there are their own more efficient ways. But simple spectating goes like this.

Spawn, bring up spawn screen, click anywhere on the map to disable your next spawnpoint, click suicide, and click the X in the right upper corner.

Admins can only spectate the same as regular players, we don't have any special software to enable us to watch every player.

As was said the process goes like this. Make sure you are dead, kill yourself or suicide, whatever. Then on the spawn screen click anywhere but a spawn point. Then click the X in the top right hand corner of the spawn screen. Then by pressing C (cycle camera, if you have re-mapped this then press your new cycle camera key) you can go into 3rd person view of each player.

If you have freecam setup you can fly around the map using your movement keys and your mouse once dead.

yeah but when i do that i got the stupid spawn screen keep poping up every 10 secs

Do you know how to setup freecam? I've read tons of threads and found nothing about turning it on or off. Just people asking or telling them to enable it. But no instructions as how to.

Only 1 screenshot at a time and it's very limited.

I usually wait for people to start screaming "So and so is hacking!!". Then I make it a point to see for myself. When you are a good admin on a server your playtime and quality will definitely suffer. I find it more fun to just play than to admin straight on. You either play and have fun or you have to be a referee/baby sitter, tough to do noth for most people.

Your serversettings.con file needs the following line in it:

sv.allowFreeCam 1

By default it'll probably be set to 0
