im comin up on 1st Sgt. and i want to know how long it took all of u CO's and Sgt. Majors to make the leap from 1st.Sgt to Sgt. Major?

Took me about 5 months to go from first sergeant to sergeant major. I didn't play very much since school was busy. I am almost at 2nd lieutenant. Wehn i reach it, it will have taken me about 2 weeks. Sicne i have been on summer break i have had a lot of time to get points.

20,000 to 50,000. That took me quite a while :hmm:. As long as you just play for fun and don't care too much about how many points you get, you will be fine. Now that I've reached 50,000 I don't feel that it's anything special in any way...

took me a while. Around the same time as SuperTyphoon. Course I wasnt rewarded Sft Major until 200 points after the fact.

break it up, aim for 35K first, its half way, once your at 35K your closer to your goal than from where you started (obviously :p ) ....

I'm not there, nor am I anywhere near 30k, but it seems that ground-pounding 30k or even 50k points will take a long, long time.

I get more points while I'm on the ground, than if I'm in a heli. It might be because I'm medic though

Took me about half a year because I stopped playing bf2 around that period of time for about 3 months due to other games.

I got staff sergeant about a month after sergeant. There was a patch, I load on one day, and am a sergeant major.

Now I am almost a three star.

I find that getting the 10000 that corporal was originally for example, was really tough, but the next 10000 is not nearly that bad. So you will get 50000 in probably less time than you got 20, based on playing the same amount of time per week.

Im at 29,000 but i play for fun now, just wait till my next rank for my last unlock and i wont care for stats anymore.

It looks like it will take me 3 months total. I was promoted to 1st shirt May 28th or something like that; I'm about 6300 points away from Sgt Maj. as of now. I play however I can, if there is a tank I use it, If commander is open I use it, if nothing is available I play assault or medic, and work with squad.
