I Made a Map!! But it errors!

Hi,

I recently created a map and when i start the server and its done loading when i click "Join Game" It automatically closes Battlefield..

Know why?

Do you have 2 control points with spawn point attached to them?

Launch the map in windowed mode and see what errors it spits out at you when it crashes.

How do i start it in a Windowed mode :\

And yes i do have spawn points and control points.

right click on ur BF2 icon and click properties

next to target there is some text, go all the way to the end and ull see fullscreen 1, change 1 to 0 and ull be able to run in windowed mode, I recommand lowering ur resolution first

to run in normal mode again just change the number back to 1

Alright, can you update this every post asap. Cause i needa finish this before i go out lol i'm dieng to try this map i made :P

it just closes. no error nothing it just shuts down.

Eden is right. The editor has a debugger you can use. Its a pain in the butt to use, but it will tell you *specifically* where your error lies.

Just run it in windowed mode, and if you get any error, just hit continue until you get to the error that closes the game out. Take a picture of that and post it here.

The Application has generated an exception and will be closed.

Please attach the crash dump to the error report.

That has happend to me. I just reinstalled this version of the editor and it has worked ever since.

Oh and if you haven't fixed the join game crash then it is because of your low settings. You need to run the whole game on medium or high. That will fix it. Since you probably dont want to run it on medium or high since it will give you lag and stuff so you have to go to the bf2editor forums and find a tutorial on lowdetail textures
