    What would it take???

Ok, after reading MANY of the same-themed threads that are on the boards here and other other sites, and also reading the lackluster responses from the developers, I have to ask, What do you all think it would take to actually have EA/DICE answer to their customers?

Would a Class Action Lawsuit perhaps wake them up? I bring up a lawsuit because for those out there playing on any ranked server they are REQUIRED to update to a flawed patch. otherwise they are relegated to playing offline, or on a non-ranked server.
Would this actually require EA/DICE to actually show us what they have been doing this entire time?? For the amount of time these problems have been going on, the pathetically poor list of "fixes' that have been released is.... well, sad really...

It also makes me wonder something. How long has the development team been working on the Infantry Only mod (and yes it is a mod not a mode) and any of the other "additions" to the game (like the vehicle drop/cartillery)??? Because your response to the J10/F35 question makes me wonder where exactly your priorities for your product and ultimately your responsibilites to your consumers lie.....

Colin Clarke (Updated Answer): So we took a long hard look at this issue in relation to what we could try to do in 1.4. We did some tuning to the J-10. Believe me or not most tuning we did actually made that lil sucker even more lethal (some people may have seen a server named 'J-10 Test' up within the last few weeks). Which brought us to the realization that if we were to do anything drastic to the J-10 it would likley ruin the vehicle unless we spent weeks in review and retuning. We then reviewed what would be required to adjust the F35. The work and tuning and adjustment that would be required to try and bring the F35 up was roughly equal given the dual function of the F35 engine. I also received a crash course (har har) on hit box construction which helped me realize that this also would not be a simple adjustment and would also require weeks of adjustment and trial-and-error. Long story short - This dynamic will not be changing in 1.4.

Ok, please explain to me why spending the needed time on a problem that has existed since ver. 1.0 of the game release is less important than adding a feature that, while nice to have, isn't something that couldn't have waited until the next patch (if there is to be one....)????? And why in the 9 levels of hell would you adjust the J10 to make it even more of an overpowered vehicle than it already is (not that it was left that way, but you know what would happen even before you tested it, so why even test it?? )????? And this is just one of the many issues the game has....

I also have first hand knowledge and experience of how quickly a fix can be implemented into a game of this size.... and how some things are done at EA itself... so this argument that it would "require weeks of adjustment and trial-and-error" is a very weak one..... How many weeks? 2? 3? Wouldn't that be better than releasing ANOTHER "patch" that really doesn't patch anything??

Why has ANY time been spent on ANY new game features when there are as many bugs and game problems as there are?? Especially considering that MANY of these problems have been in-game since ver. 1.0????

So do you think a lawsuit might wake up EA/DICE to the real issues???

What makes it "shiest" in your view? Are you aware that in the business world litigation is one of the only true motivators for some companies??

Please, by all means elaborate on your reply.....

            Intersting post .
While I agree with all you have said the problem becomes whom is going to front the resources to mount this suit?
Will it have the desired outcome?
All I can say is best of luck if you plan on going down this road.
I hope it is succesful but I doubt it.

Oh I agree wholeheartedly, unfortunately however it seems to be the only way to get a company to listen to it's constituants here.

But beyond the whole lawsuit issue... why do you think so much time has been wasted on adding content that noone has requested as much as having all of the bugs fixed???

I think that its actualy because as I read to the news prior, EA had forced their programmers so much that in the end they took it to court recently and won by I think about 300 million to be paid to them. And now we see that we get the fixes after the programmers got their payment and their conditions are better.
