    Kill enemy, get TK warning??

So I was playing on karkland yesterday, as the MEC, we had all the flags so we start rushing the uncap...

i find a sniper (shows up as a red dot on the UAV scan) laying on the ridge and kill him, and get "don't hurt your teamates".... huH? so since i was medic i revive him (it actually let me revive him), and his name is in RED, so i kill him again and get the same "dont hurt your teamates" message... wtf, so i press TAB and find his name on the USMC team

then i see a message saying, (the guy i just killed) has initiated a mutiny vote against me, (i was playing commander)

wtf, has this ever happened to anybody???

    Yeah...it's the infamous red/blue bug.

He was on your team, but his tag was red. If you had checked his uniform, you'd have seen that he was on your team. He has NO idea he was red to you, so he thought you were being an ***.

I think when you revived him, that should have been a clue that he was on your team.

From his perspective, you were being a jerk.

Last week while playing on midnight sun. That red bug got me. I shot this red guy going for our chopper and got punished for the TK. My mate revives him and by this time I've jumped in the chopper and then this red guy gets in as well, still showing red in the chopper in front of me.
          Scary stuff.

I know with snipers it is impossible to tell the difference. However, the red blue bug does not even phase me anymore. Now I play the racist "kill whitey" or "kill darkie" game. The red-blue bug has got nothing on me :)

but he didn't show up on my radar until the UAV spotted him, and when i pressed TAB, it listed his name on the enemy side

Yeah I've seen that *version* of the bug too. On his end, he was on the MEC team, but to you he shows up as US, even though he has a MEC uniform on. Lame bug.

DICE already knows about it, you can probebly search Google image"red bug in BF2" and get tons of results
