Nothing is more annoying than taking 5+ minutes to load up bf2, look for a server in the terrible server browser, waiting the long load times and than having the game crash!

Has the Client check been made more thorough in the later patches? I remember way back when, you had to worry about the map loading. Now it takes maybe 3x the time that it takes for the map to load, to verify the client!

Nothing is more annoying than taking 5+ minutes to load up bf2, look for a server in the terrible server browser, waiting the long load times and than having the game crash!

you have 2 gigs of ram? you get 2 gigs, the loading screens go way faster and you load up quicker.

Air power can be annoying, but don't forget artillery: DICE's answer to the unasked question of "How can we give one player the powers of God to destroy everyone else on the map, including his own team mates, but without consequences for himself?"

And after they thought about it, the deal was sealed when they realized that not only could artillery be used to randomly kill your own soldiers without the chance of a TK punish, but it could also be used to:

> shoot down friendly choppers flying over the home base.

> destroy your own aircraft and vehicles when the commander spots a solo sniper in your main base and goes on a jihad for him.

> score a direct hit on an entire friendly squad who just spawned at an enemy flag, launching everyone head over heels from one side of the map to the other: ragdoll!

And bonus time! If you park your butt in a ground MG emplacement somewhere far far away from the action, you're still on your way to earning expert ground defense while cranking 2x points because you have a blue star on top of your head. w00 h00!

The 3 most feared words in BF2: "Artillery, your area!"

Air Power Dominates.. Wouldnt every map be 10x funner without em? yup.

So youd rather just get rid of air assets all together and take away something from the game that makes it unique and different from all other generic military shooters

Instead we need to work to get the Airbalance back to what it was from BF 1942, and Ace pilot could rule the sky's yet didnt destroy the game for the ground pounders.....
