Yet another 'Which weapon to unlock' question... (sorry)

Sorry 'bout this, but I'd like a general opinion....

Mostly I play Medic or Assault, and have both unlocks for those. Sometimes play sniper (have the 1st unlock), and support (have the PKM), spec forces (have both unlocks) and, occaisionally, anti-tank (no unlock there).

I'm already set on getting the DAO-12, but as for my second unlock, I'm torn between the 2nd Support (MG-36) or the Jackhammer. I almost never play eng, since I rarely use armor and the lack of a decent weapon kills me, so I might play more if I had the Jackhammer.... dunno though.

Annnd, I've read mixed info on the MG36... oh, and I guess the 2nd sniper upgrade is an option too. I play sniper every so often, but I suck at it. Still like to try though, so dunno if the 2nd unlock is worth it :)

Anyway, sorry about another one of these threads, but any opinions on MG36 vs. the Jackhammer would be helpfull... as well as input on the M95 vs. the last unlock....

I'm just so torn since this will probably be my last unlock ever. I doubt I'll ever make it to 20k - I just don't really play often enough.

Anyways, welcome to TBF2 forums! Yes, we have a lot of threads covering this subject over the last year. Several within the last week.

Since you have had time to try out the game over a long period of time, you should already know what you are leaning towards. But, the answer I have been giving a lot of people is what I am going to give to you. Get the weapon for the kits you like to play the most or plan to start playing. Kill a few people and get their unlock to see if you like it ingame, or go download one of the unlock mods that let you play with all the weapons in singleplayer.

If you play AT a lot you can't go wrong getting the DAO. But just remember, get what you are going to play a lot, because you don't want to be stuck with an unlock for something you never like playing. I hate Spec-ops and Assult, so those were my last unlocks. and I made a mistake getting the G3 as my first unlock because I never used it!

Rev, I think you need to have a notepad doc saved on your desktop full of links like this that you can spam into these threads when people post them. I think Wargimp has that nice little sig suggesting to use the search, this could be your link in your sig!

DON"T GET THE JACKHAMMER IT ISN"T WORTH IT IT IS BASICALLY THE DAQ-12 I HATE IT !!! but that is just my opinion i bet soon there will be 5 people yelling at me saying they love it but this is my opinion so get the other thing that you want

Just looked at your profile, IMO, I'd say the l96. You said you already planned on the DAO (which would be my first unlock, period) so the l96 will make the most difference in your play of a class. The difference between the M95 and L96 is worth noting.

I like the Jackhammer too, you just have to be carefull and pull the trigger at the right time (and for the right amount, learn to tap quickly) or you'll spray **** everywhere and find yourself reloading when someone jumps you. If you ever take up armor whoring, it's great for when you have to jump out real quick and jack that spec-ops coming up to C4 you. He rarely has time to switch to his detonator and push it before you've put 3 rounds of 00 into him.

Everyone loves the second medic unlock (I just recently learned how to use it and like it more now.) But if you don't enjoy medic, then it won't help you much.

I've used the MG36 in SF a bit, and still prefer the PKM because I find it more deadly at the longer ranges.

Keep in mind, I have noticed a lot of these people that are posting are very new to our forum. I don't think we should be getting harsh on people that just show up, that might be an active participant later.

I think we need to just have a blanket answer made for these people that they can jump to for a lot of questions, because, most people come in just asking, what should I get, without saying anything about how they play!

Most of it can come down to simple answers that we can give a blanket reply, but some, maybe we will need to help...Even better yet, just make a subsection on the forums for Unlock Advise!

Yeah a subforum would be good but there is only one peice of advice u can give and that is: It is up to u which u want to get. It depends on what kits u play most and what unlock u want to use till u rank up again.

Yep that is pretty much what I tell everyone, because until you get to Master/First Sergeant, it does not really matter, because you have a new rank coming around the corner in a couple weeks anyways. When you get that 20,000 GP mark, that is when it comes down to hard decisions.
