They shouldnt change it in any way:) 1 shot kill is too easy. btw it is much more accurate than I thought. If you miss you are not accuraty, the gun IS accurate

Is i made you really banned>? Seems like the drunk nut should be... And on topic the M95 is fairly accurate within 200 meters and it is better than any other rifle for use in sniping the middle of a firefight, seeing as they will probably be slightly damaged and the M95 does 95% to everyone. As far as "it shoots through tank glass" Tanks dont have glass, helis and jets, and jeeps do.

Re: The M95 is powerful enough

m95 is fine. Fire a shot and you normally get a kill. If you don't, simply fire one more shot with your pistol. However, the best way to go is to learn to aim well enough for headshots. I'm very good at this. It just takes practice...but the m95 is powerful as it is...especially with it's ability to damage choppers. I took down a full health chopper once since he was stupid enough to keep circling just to try to find me.

This is what an m95 can do...

I have earned my expert sniper combat badge already, but here's an old picture of when I got my veteran badge. If you look, I took out the gunner and then the driver just before they hit my team members. The vehicle came to a "dead" stop (pardon the pun).

        No vehicles....no armor....no chopper....no plane....and not claymore spamming.

m95 is FINE. You just need to aim for heads to be 100% deadly and always be ready to pull out your pistol if it doesn't kill.

are we supposed to be impressed by that??

all your doing is using the sniper rifle close up, try using it on a map where the fog isnt 50m in front of you and try and get some 200+metre kills. u wont pop em off so easy then.. in fact you'll actually struggle to get kills full stop!!

I say it's just dandy. Any stronger and there'd be a lack of balance. And for accuracy problems, well, nobody forces anyone to use it, so why complain when you can have the stock rifles AND the L96A1 instead?

Check earlier in this thread for some screenshots I posted about the issue. Just wanted to mention that I personally use m95 on close-quarters maps with vehicles (such as karkand), but use the l8 for longer distance maps.

yea like i said earlier, anyone can go on a city map with like 30players and own it up close up with the sniper rifle.

snipers are long distance shooters and that is where they arent good enough.....

I do just as well at a distance. You just have to aim for the head.

So a .50cal heavy machine gun must be like... a super duper black hole causing killing machine?

They're all designed for different situations, and there are plenty of situations where the M95 is the best choice. You could say the SVD sucks for the same reason, even more so because the SVD's targetting reticle is glitched off-center. Does the SVD suck? No, of course not, it's just not a super-long-range weapon. Neither is the M95.

If you want a long-range weapon, pick a long-range weapon. If you want maximum damage on a target without needing to worry about hitting them in the head, pick the M95.

Re: The M95 is powerful enough

The M95 is perfectly balanced as far as sniper rifles go. Its higher damage to heavy infantry and vehicles, plus the ability to shoot through armoured glass compensate for the slight accuracy penalty.

The most common complaints about the M95 are the 'realism' and the crosshairs.

It's not realistic. If it was realistic, it wouldn't be as fun. Live with it.

The crosshairs are a problem because its a simple aesthetic problem that is responsible for the M95's reduced long range capabilities. They're so chunky, they envelop a target's head at long ranges and make it that much harder to make headshots, and indeed see the target itself.
People are concerned with this because it affects the gun's performance where it shouldn't. It's effectiveness is reduced because of something that should be making aiming easier. If the crosshairs were fixed, I'd be using this gun over my M24 any day.

I'm going to go with faking - even wasted you can still type normally to some degree.

                                Here's another tangent:

I think sniper kills should work on a distance to target basis. Like when you fly a jet ingame you go faster as you gain altitude; sniper rifles should become more lethal at long ranges. At like 400+ feet torso shots should get you a kill. It rewards better aim and tactics. Far too often snipers can engage from a really close distance and be taking torso hits while also shooting perfectly aimed shots. Kinda lame.

Actually - now that I think about it I dont even like the idea. oh well i'm not going to erase it.
