and was just thinking, "Man, this card is a babe."

Thoughts? Do you think it would be a good upgrade for me?

Memory: 1GB Ultra PC3200 400MHz
Hard Drive: 250 GB Seagate
Video Card: XFX GeForce 6800 128 MB OC'ed
Monitor: 19" Tyris LCD
Sound Card: Intergrated
Speakers/Headphones: Logitech Extreme PC Gaming Headset/Creative SBS Vivid 60 (White)
Keyboard: Kensington Comfort Type Multimedia Keyboard
Mouse: Chaos Green Razer Copperhead
Mouse Surface: Own-made PC Gamer Mouse Pad
Operating System: Windows XP Professional

I don't think buying that gpu right now would be worth it, from what I can see, the 6800XT has double the memory size, and that's it....I suggest you wait a couple of months and pick up one of the DX10 cards or just save up and get a better card later....

The 6800xt also has 4 less pixel shaders and one less vertex shader if I recall correctly, but the 6800 and the 6800xt actually perform pretty much right at the same level. In fact, in one of guru3d.com's reviews, the two cards both scored 4020 on 3DMark05. Can't get much closer than that

So no, don't spend your money on the 6800xt.
