this is becoming abigger and bigger problem. not only does it happen at the worst possible moment but it happens so fu*king often now.:wall: :cussing: i just want to know what causes it? is it my ISP, my rig, the server itself, or the sh*tty 1.3 patch? someone pls tell me what it is.

I've got a feeling this problem isn't gonna be easy to solve (I'm no IT boffin), but sometimes BF2 disconnects due to server problems 3/4 times an hour, and other times hardly at all for 4/5 hours of play.

Blame the 1.3 patch, I installed the full patch after a fresh reinstal and still experience the connection losses and server crashes.

Most of the time it says it it was a server crash only once in the time I've been playing BF2 it was my router. Just happened today when I was racking up kills from AT mines, and yesterday, and the day before it happens. It happens everyday no matter what server I'm on.

Wired or Wireless?

If your on Wireless and you signal isnt very good it can happen, it can also happen if your router isnt very good at wireless.

If your wired, I dont know.

Wireless but I know it's the server crashes and not my connection because when I exit out of BF2 or go to another server it works fine. Plus in Xfire when I check the server I was just on I get a zero ping but all my other favorites and most recently visited servers ping fine.

Then its patch 1.3 at its finest.

Its not your fault, its DICE and patch 1.3

Im getting at least 3-4 server crashes per day, not my connection.

Wake Wake Axxium Server crashes at least 3 times in 3 hours.

I get a warning about my connection everytime I answer the phone, but if I hang up in under 10 seconds everythings fine. I DO NOT have dial up, but Sympatico high speed and have no idea why it happens. I can changes webpages and stay connected to other online games when I'm on the phone, just not BF

I have Sympatico High speed as well, and I get the same problems. Except for the phone one.

What does the internet settings have to do, If the server crashes no matter what you have T1 to dialup you will crash.
