BF2 costs $50, well it used to and the CPH is cost per hour.

At the risk of sounding repetitive ...

If you paid $50 for the game, the CPH figure is telling you that you've paid X cents for every hour you've played. In other words, it's a figure that'll let you know the game is amazing value for money.

For instance, you might have a figure of 10c per hour, meaning you've got an hour's worth of play time for every 10c you invested in your particular copy. Compare that to a movie at the cinema (around $5 per hour) or what you'd pay for an hour of gaming in an arcade ... it's an interesting little figure.

After all, how many other forms of entertainment can provide so many hours of fun for such a small investment of money?

It was something added as an "extra" by whoever runs bf2s.com. EA did not have anything to do with that part of it. It's a simple enough formula used to calculate cost, you can even do it with Excel.

I have almost 700 hours in game. Thus it cost me about 7 cents for the game per year per hour.

Beats the old Arcade machinery that gobbled .25 every 5 minutes depending on your skill.

Im betting the electricity and cooling was more expensive supporting the PC and the games.
