The M95 is ok. Might wanna choose it over the SVD if your stuck on MEC. If you wanna unlock the L96A1 you might wanna just get the M95 first. The G36E is accurate and ok in close quarters. But really not that much better then the defaults. The defaults have the red dot laser scope on single shot they can hit what an G36E can on full auto. Also some of them like the M4 and AK-74 are better in extreme close quarters.

I think you are meaning the G36C, the G36E is the medic unlock.

Yea, I might try out the L85A1. I didn't know that getting SF doubles the number of possible unlocks, so I can get to the ones I want faster, lol.

What do you guys think about the SCAR-L? Step up from the G36C?

Oh, and also, I haven't been able to figure out the key to pick up someone else's kit, lol. :laugh:

To pick up someone's kit, press the G kit when next to their bag. Watch out out for the Medic unlocks, because once you start down to the path to the darkside, forever will it control your destiny, consume you it will.

It doesn't really matter what weapon you pick. The unlocks are usually all earned within a matter of 2-3 months. Keep playing and before you know it you will have them all. I would get hte medic unlock though.

and i think the g36 is great unless u love sniper like me dont get m95 l85 sucks bad g3 is great leave anti tank alone i like it like that and engineer is good. thats my opinion great to have u in the bf community

Wow, thanks so much for that link. It helped tremendously. Nothing like actually using the weapons to get a feel for them. IMO, that has to be a must for anyone having trouble picking unlocks. Thank's a lot for posting that.

Ok, so I tried out a bunch of weapons that I was looking at, and here are my resutls;

SCAR-L -- Deadly. It's scarily accurate, and has very nice stopping power. Not as damaging as the F2000, but more than enough. I was mowing down entire enemy waves with this gun (granted they were bots, but whatever works). Plus it has the tried-and-true red-dot scope. A definite unlock next time I get the chance.

L96A1 -- What can I say about this gun that hasn't been said by others in the thread. It's a definite choice for anyone who enjoys sniping. Would be nice to shoot an unsuspecting pilot out of his plane/chopper, but it's better than the others in everything else.

FN F2000 -- Another gun like the SCAR-L. I like the scope, it lets you see what you're aiming at, the second-best scope I've seen so far. Also has very good stopping power, very nice damage delivery. I'll be getting this after I'm done with the SCAR-L and L96A1.

L85A1 -- Better than I expected. It's not quite as accurate as the other guns, but it also helped me take down quite a few of the enemy forces. Not sure if I love or hate the scope, lol, but it works. Also had a high amount of damage done.

That's it for the ones that I tried and liked, lol. Now for the one's I'm not too excited about getting. They aren't the worst, not at all. But I tried them and won't use unlocks on them. Here's why;

P90 -- I'm a fan of this fun from before Battlefield 2. I've used it in other games, and I believe this is the one they use in Stargate SG-1, lol. However, the gun disappointed me. First of all -- I found it to be weak. Very weak. It had a large magazine and a much faster shooting speed to try to make up for it, but that didn't help much. It was also very inaccurate. The gun just didn't help me.

G36-E -- The second-tier Medic unlock. I didn't not like this gun, but I don't have much praise for it. It has a very high rate of firing, and nice damage delivery, but the accuracy was lacking. I think it's the ironsight, lol. I still might get this gun at a later date though, the firing speed and damage are addictive. Too bad it only goes up to burst-fire.

Please note that everything I said above is only in my opinion. I know some people love or hate the guns that I've mentioned, and I mean no offense to those of you. I'm sure some of the guns take some getting used to, or take time to learn them, but these are just my preliminary results, lol.

Something funny happened. I was going around with the Medic class and using the FAMAS, lol. I absolutely loved that gun. Infact, it was so good that I was planning to get that gun before anything else, lol. I swear, I spent more time using that gun than all others combined. It has a very fast firing rate (900RPM, 1.5x faster than the others), it delivers higher than normal damage, and that scope -- Oh how much I loved that scope. Instead of a red-dot scope, or any other sort of scope/ironsight, it has the outline of a small circle. BEST-SCOPE-EVER, IMO. That made aiming very very nice, and combined with the damage and firing rate, made for a deadly weapon.

You have no idea how disappointed I was to find that it's a EuroForce gun, haha.

I have a question; How the h*ll did AI Bots become so strong in the game as opposed to the demo? I could run over entire waves of enemies in the demo on Gulf of Oman (same map I used for these tests, it's nice and open). But in the game, I'm struggling to win by a margin of 30-50, lol.
