cant install or uninstall

hi there everyone

got a bit of a problem hope you can help
i have bf2 installed from when i used to play it but want to uninstall and reinstall it cause im starting out a fresh and brought the deluxe version
whenever i try to uninstall it it says it is loading installshield wizard and then that goes and nothing it is the same when trying to uninstall special forces as well.
so i resorted to deleting game folder\icons etc
i then tried to install my new version and it does the same damn thing!!!
asks me to select langauge and the loads the installer and then nothing.
i have installed new windows installer and that has not helped.
i am at my wits end 5 hours i have spent tonight

i have tried to uninstall several other games (dredd vs death, romeTW,godfather) and the reinstalled them no probs so is it battlefield related and not system wide?

ok, you need to do a manual uninstall

here are official links from ea technical support explaining exactly how to manually uninstall both special forces and bf2. Follow them exactly and you will be fine.

Once you done this, install the delux version and then apply the full 1.3 patch

*note* if the folder does not exist just go onto the next step, you probably have deleted it*
